Anyone else have rubbing with ZR-1's
Got my 17" ZR-1 wheels on today and I'm pissed. They frikin rub! I did it right too, got the 2.25" adapters from skulte design and they still touch. Anyone else have that problem?

yes, I have 2.25 in the front and they still rub just slightly. Nothing terrible, but at very sharp turns or going off of curbs and turning, I can hear it scrape.

I have no rubbing what so ever on my car and I have the same spacers you all have. If anything the RR tire smashesinto the quarter panel when i hit a big bump. It puts a huge slice in the tire soI had to curl thelip up a little. But again. as for the fronts , its all good. Im running 275/40/17 Nitto up front and 285 in the rear

did your car come from the factory with 14" or 15" wheels?
if so, it's perfectly normal if they rub on full lock, because the steering box was never intended for tires that wide. IROC's, Z28s, GTA's, and TA's with 16 inch wheels came with a steering box that doesn't turn as far on full lock. just something you'll have to deal with or swap the steering box.

I have the SLP 17X9 ZR1 style SS wheels with 285X40X17 BFG's
and I use 2in. addapters.
They only rub on the sway bar if I turn to the lock.

you talkin the real 17x11 ZR1's or the 17x9.5 ones? if you could remotely fit the 17x11's with some massaging, im interested. that would look mean!
Interesting note regarding the rubbing issue for the steering boxes....
my 87 'bird has 15"....and in the rear glove box (in the cargo area) I found a service receipt. when the car was new, the original owner, just after buying the car from the dealer, took it back 'cause the tires were rubbing on sharp turns! dealer put a note on the invoice that that was normal.
