thanks josh.
thanks josh.
91blackgta - sorry I haven't been able to locate a number for that cover. I believe it may be part of the casing. I looked at mine out of my car and there was a p/n on the casing, but not on the cover.
Trans_AM_88 - I don't even have to look this one up cuz I just ordered one for my car. The p/n is 10037612.

Josh, I have a '90 Firebird, and I don't really know how to describe it, but it's a mounting bracket that has 3 studs in it for mounting the passenger side GFX at the back of the Passenger fender. Do you think you could find that part #? If not, thanks anyway.

You can't buy this book usually. GM only sent them to certified GM dealers. I got mine from a dealership that didn't need it anymore.Originally posted by demonchild

How about the sticker that was in the lower right hand corner of the side windows on cars with factory security systems? Usually 90-92.
Sorry about the delayed response fella's, I didn't see it until today.
83firebirdS/E - I have looked for those before for another TGO member, and I couldn't find them. I think that they may have come with the window, but I'm not sure. You may have to call GM on that one.
novass -
Antenna Relay - 22535475 and is 6.44 @ GMPD
Electric Antenna - I am going to give you what is in my book exactly as it is written, I searched for both of these parts at GMPD but none of them were found.
ANTENNA KIT, RDO PWR W/TUBE..................89-91 F(U75) 20072184
ANTENNA PKG, RDO PWR-SERV COMPLETE...89-90 F(PWR ANT(U75) 22093964

Yeah they work on their server at this time of the night. If GMPD doesn't find it, that doesn't mean that it's discontinued. Give your local GM dealer a call and ask them about that part. Even though that part number may be discontinued doesn't mean that another part number hasn't been re-issued for that same part. Keep in mind my book was published in 1992....so the part numbers and prices may or may not have changed.Originally posted by FatJ

If indeed that part is discontinued, call around to local boneyards or keep an eye on ebay and or internet salvage yards. What exactly is the part you are looking for?

Hey Josh - need your help here. I'm tearing into the totalled GTA this weekend and would like some schematics for the entire front clip.
Any pages you have detailing from the doors forward would be great. Any and all part numbers. If you don't want to waste space in this thread - you can send them to me via pm or email. Thanks alot. I know it's a big request....but this car is going to be revived no matter the effort/cost/time involved.

Anything for a black-colored center console lid for an '83 Z28?
Aviator857 - It's not giving me a good enough breakdown to see all of the parts in detail. I went out and took mine apart thinking I would be able to see a p/n...no luck. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right spot, but I'll keep an eye out for ya and when I do find it, I'll let you know.
3.1EyeCandy - This is a huge request. There are tons of breakdowns for the front of the car. Pretty much a picture of everything...down to the windshield washer system and the smallest pieces of the fog lamps. There is no way in hell I'm typing in all of those part numbers. I would scan it for ya, but I don't have a scanner. Your best bet is to head to a parts department tomorrow morning at a local GM dealer. They can pull up all the breakdowns on the screen and print them off for ya. If they can't, let me know and we can get something figured out.
Air_Adam - The book I have is for 82-92 Firebirds only....sorry.

Here's one that might help a lot of people.
I have a 9 bolt posi rear end from an 88 GTA, however I want to do the conversion to the PBR brakes used on the 1989 9 bolt. Can you give a parts list for the rear disc brakes? Backing plates, etc... That way, even if GM doesn't have them, we can look into getting them via kragen or something?
Backing plates to calipers
Thanks,
James

Ok, I've got one, but it may be hard to figure out. I've had the GM guy at the parts counter going nuts over this one.
I need the wiring that goes from the distributor to the external coil. It has a pink and white wire with a two prong weatherpack on one end and the coil connector on the other. It is basically a little 1 foot long wiring harness with a connector on each end. If you can figure this one out thanks a lot.
Sorry, here's the info. It's a 91 Ta with a 305 TPI.

The Vehicle Speed sensor is on the tail of the transmission, it is where the cable connection was on older transmissions. The VSS sends the vehicle speed electronically to the computer it has an electrical plug on it. I have attached a pic of an automatic with the location indicated (even though it is pointing at the older style cable sender).Originally posted by joshp14
