tis very very true. I'm pretty sure I speak on behalf of the board, when I say Thanks a ton for your service!!:hail:
You know you guys can have your own copy of that book on CDROM by going to fbodycd.com. The CD contains all the info that are in the "green" pages of his manual. Most people will find what they need in those pages and the diagrams are great to have.

hey josh
could you check to see if you can find the part number for the egr sensor on an 87 trans am tpi motor. it might be called the EGR Diagnostic Switch or EGR Feedback Switch too. I'm not completely sure.
Thanks!

i dunn broke mine when trying to remove it from that rusty lookin hole there.
From the diagrams I'm looking at, it looks as if it's part of the wiring harness and can't be purchased separately.....
You may have to take this one to the dealership and point it out to them and see what they have to say.
Sorry I couldn't help.

Hey Josh, if it's not too much trouble, could you look up the part number for the "Harness Connector to ECM"? It's the harness that connects to the coolant temperature sensor on the thermostat housing.
This is from an '85 LG4 with an automatic.

What about the left and right E-brakes cables for an 85 I think it was TA?
I got the 9 bolt of of an 85-86 TA and no one can find me the right size cables for me.

Josh, you still watching this? If so and you have time could you look up the lower outer window weatherstrips, both sides for an 88 year? Local dealer has a bunch of this older stuff in the corner, a PN might get me some factory pieces. Thanks!

Josh,
Do you have any good diagrams of the lower air diflector for the 88TA, I picked up a gfx package/bumpers and I want to find what air deflectors I am missing.
Also,
behind the rocker GFX there is a support piece made of metal that keep it from sagging.(I need both sides of car)
Thanks
Tom

I assume you mean the bracket that has the elongated curved hole for the alternator adjustment...if so then....
86 TPI bracket is 14082306
86 LG4 bracket is the same as above
Coolant Fan Switch Part Number
Josh:- Could you possibly check the part number for a coolant fan switch for a 1989 Pontiac TransAm 350 L98 TPI. It's the one located on the passenger side cylinder head between #6 and #8.
It's the one used on cars with dual fans, to control the secondary cooling fan.
Many thanks for any help with this!

Are you referring to the black air deflectors?
10027611 DEFLECTOR, ROCKER PNL LWR-RH
10027612 DEFLECTOR, ROCKER PNL LWR-LH
Both 35.75 at New GM Parts last I checked.

I figured that this could be my contribution to this great web site. I try to help others out when I can, because others helped me.
I'm not sure how much personally I'll need all of the specific info, because, most of my conversions are done (Aero Graphics in the works, just have to be painted and attached). But, the last thing I wanted to happen is have a great resource possibly dissapear.
So, Yes it has found a new "good" home!

Listed for $137 in the day.
Of course, now for the bad part. It looks as if they may be discontinued. Not listed in NewGMParts nor GMPartsDirect.

That, and also if you're like me, it helps build a handy listing. If someone asks for something I think I may need in the future, I write it down rather than going and looking it up again later. [/B]

Phew... long time since anyone posted in this topic...
Anyways, I need to see a diagram of how the side windows are assembled. Is seems my PS window is missing a few pieces, especially the ones that regulate the final height of the window. Had to clean some crap out of the motor last week and noticed somewhere along the line the parts that regulate the final height of the window are gone. I have the window adjusted properly except for the final height, and I know it's too high because the line that was where the bottom of the old tint was is above the weatherstripping.
I would use the diagrams that are linked to on gmpartsdirect.com's alternate parts catalog, but none of their diagrams work for me
That door is driving me nuts with all its rattles and crap because of the missing parts...

I guess a whole lot of missing parts is what one gets for being the fourth owner of a car with over 200K on the clock...

91 3.1L radiator fan switch
Could you please list the radiator fan switch for a 91 3.1L? Also, if it's not too much trouble could you put the diagram of its location on passenger side head for the v6?
For some reason the dealer couldn't locate the fan switch for the 91 v6 on their listing and I can't seem to locate it on the passenger head/near firewall as other posts have stated. Thanks.

Highwind,
I looked and could not find a listing for the switch. Do you have dual fans or just 1? If you have just one the fan would be computer controled if if rember correctly.

EGR Valve and EGR Solenoid for a 1987 Trans Am with TPI. I don't believe there is a difference, but if numbers are different for 305 and 350, please let me have both.
Thanks! It's great to have a source to look up p/n's.

Do you have a diagram of the wiring harness around the steering column? I am having a problem where my headlights engage my starter as soon as I turn them on. (its an 87 IROC, but I am hoping they will be similar).

Really, I am needing to know where the ignition could cross the headlight assembly.
