Found it. It looks like it depends on what RPO codes you have. Here are the pics I scanned so you can print them and compare to what you have.

what do you mean 'drop a stick on this'? You mean close the thread? Why? I am not the one bringing it back, the people that want part numbers are. I am just providing this service for the hell of it. Ok?

Need Numbers for Wheel Cylinders...

Specifically for a 1987 Firebird 2.8L V6, which is the donor housing.

I am doing the SLP posi thing with 90-92 axles, and I'm to the point where I am puting the brake system together and buttoning everything back up.

I need to know if the part numbers are the same with a 1986 Firebird ... parts man says there's 2 versions... metric thread and U.S. pipe thread.... and I need to reuse my 86 metal lines on the 1987 donor housing. I know between 1986 and 1987 GM changed a lot of stuff between those two years with tooling, shifting production to different plants, etc.

Oh, and a part number to cross reference a pinion seal as well.

Thanks a ton!!

OK I found out what one you need. It depends on one of your RPO codes. GM used different threads depending on the ring gear diameter of the rear axle. They say that you want to use P/N 18012304 if you have the RPO code Y03. If you don’t have the Y03 code, then use 18012303. The cylinder used with the Y03 code has the metric threads while the cylinder used w/o the Y03 code used standard US pipe threads.

Here is the info right from the book so you can know the years they were used too:

1982-1988 P/N-18012303 (W/O RPO Y03) Wheel Cylinder, Rear Wheel -Standard US Pipe threads
1984-1992 P/N-18012304 (W/RPO Y03) Wheel Cylinder, Rear Wheel - Metric threads

BTW, the definition of the Y03 RPO code is: 7.625” Diameter Ring Gear, Saginaw rear axle.

So as long as the housing’s are both from cars with the same RPO code of Y03 then you should be good.

As far as the pinion seal, if you are referring to the seal behind the slip yoke and it front of the pinion gear bearing, then here are the part numbers:

1982-1984……………….....………….............….….552571
1985-1992 w/7.625” ring gear……………...552571
1985-1992 w/7.750” ring gear……..……10112663

Inspection cover- what exact year of car is this for?

And for the boot, do you need the upper or lower? or both?

I got one for you: I need the catalytic convertor hanger that bolts onto the tranny for it's support and I have no idea on the P/N. It bolts in between the tranny and the cat's flange.

Maverick H1L - What year is your firebird? Also what RPO is your engine? Dual or single cat?

87F383 - I found that special appearence package (RPO code Z20) with the P/N's for all of thise pieces:

Obviously all parts are prime and paint to match.

Spoiler - 12396621
Front wheel RH spat - 12396612
Front wheel LH spat - 12396613
Rear wheel RH spat - 12396614
Rear wheel LH spat - 12396615

GM says all of these part numbers are no longer in use and were discontinued between January of 1995 and March of 1995.

Sorry man but you will have to try to find these parts elsewhere. You also may want to try to call a local Pontiac dealer and ask them if they can get any older parts in or has a certain supplier where they can get them

It is a 1986 Trans Am, LB9(305 TPI), with a 700R4 Tranny.

Oh, and also could you find the P/N's for all the parts associated with the third brake light that sits on the hatch glass.

Thanks.

JR86-TA....

The 'bolts' are attached to the mirror housing itself...therefore there is no p/n for the 'bolts'. However, the part numbers for the 2 nuts is 11508277. The gasket #'s are 20364442 (RH) & 12337844 (LH).

omnipotentgoku....

I assume that it mounts in the tank (on the tank)...I'm seeing 2 different #'s here for this. It says for the 'FUEL TANK SENDER' for 1987 cars with V8 (LG4/305G,H,L98/5.7-8) then the # is 25090906. It also says that the fuel sender assembly is N/A to purchase as a whole unit (I dunno why)

If it is also known as a 'FUEL SENDER PULSATOR' then the # is 25094266.

I dunno if this helps you or not, but if you want I can scan the pages and email them to you or post them here. Let me know.

P/N for Firebird radio pod is needed. Just the pod, without the heater vents. I have mine sitting in my lap at current and the numbers don't match GM PartsDirect.com, and the pod has two numbers, one for the vents and one for the actual pod.

The pod is 10125293. This part number includes the vents and the bracket in the back of the pod. If you wanted to buy the vents separate, the number would be 10037012.

Instead of taking up huge amounts of space by hotlinking these pics, I'll just give you the links to my site.

The second picture is the parts list for the first picture. The illustration is usually just a vague representation of all of those setups. The 3.107 group list in the 3rd pic is a more detailed list. You can see both of the part numbers that I gave you....

Picture 1 - Illustration
Picture 2 - Part List
Picture 1 - Group List

I only had time to get the first one uploaded...I have to get to work. I'll upload the other 2 tonight.

OK the pics are uploaded. They may look to small, if they do, hover your mouse over the pic and a box with arrows should appear in the lower right corner...just click that it it will make it 1500 pixels wide. If that doesnt work, just right click save as and then zoom in using another picture editing program.

Radio Trim Plate

Anyone know where I could get the radio trim that plate for the radio pod that has the "Performance Sound" badge on there? I've seen so far it only came on '85 T/A's. Anyone know who has them?

Thanks!

The wife has an 85 T/A with "TRANS AM" mudflaps, she is missing one. Is this in your book?

Hey Josh

Hey Josh

Could you tell me the GM part number for the coil spring insulators, front and back? These would be the rubber insulators (or spacers as some ppl call 'em) that fit on the ends of the coil springs in the suspension..

For the record I have a '87 IROC 5.7L .... not sure if that matters but it might

TIA!

Stan

Front is 14047915
Rear is 10019587

They are all the same from 82-90 regardless of engine or RPO codes.

I had the same prob when I checked their site. However, I have that problem a lot of the times whenever I go there to look up a site. The best thing you can do is call a local GM parts dept. and ask them if it's been discontinued. If it isn't discontinued then you can contact GMPD and they should be able to get it for ya.

It didn't give me internal breakdowns for the headlight motor, but I did find a switch part number that I think is what you are looking for.

Here is exactly what it says:

SWITCH, W/BRUSH HDLP (1982-1986).....P/N=22038870

you deserve a metal for all the help!

What is the name and number for the door panels for my 87 formula. The panels are the same as a GTA. I think they are semi- rare. Could you scan the page that way I can see the part numbers for the trim pieces also? Mine are the ones w/o the pocket

Numbers for for 87 center console shifter boot, subwoofer gain switch and the black trim pieces that cover the front seat tracts.
