Headlights

What brand of headlights do you guys suggest? I want to get the hyper white kind and I've heard different things about different products and I just want to get some more opinions. Thanks a lot!

Maybe someone else can verify this but I've heard those "white" lights will not work without upgrading the electrical system due to the extra wattage. They do look good though.

I was talking to a guy I know who has them on his **** burner. He says they make them for our cars. The square headlights. The lights are kind of expensive, but what REALLY expensive, are the amps you need to power them! They're about $300 a piece! For EACH headlight! Didn't look too complicated to hook up, but costly! Matt

i think sylvania makes the XENARC kits (there prety close to a HID, and r bright as ballz) for the rectangular headlights used on our cars... think its like 399 for the kit, comes with everything... but for 300 and all the rocks that love to plaster 3rd gen camaro headlights... kinda a bad idea... if a show car and ur nuts about them go ahead

i got the sylvania 'cool blue' lights and i like them...ive never actually looked straight into them (other than when i was aligning them) but the other people on the road seem to like them too cause they always flash their lights at me and they were a directy replacement, no new wires, and pretty cheap ($15 per light)

I've got the Sylvania "Cool Blues" too. They are much brighter than the old ones that were in my car. They also seem to have a wider beam.

the best thing you can do to improve your headlights is to insure that they get full power...

using relays that allow them to go straight to the batt (fused of course) is a great, cheap mod.

theres a tech artical somewhere on it... i think its linked to from this site... :lala:

After reading this thread, I went out and bought some SIlverstars. They are great! MUCH brighter than my old regular lights. Bought them at AutoZone for about $47 for both after tax. Matt

here's another setup you can find on ebay
