Time to make my hideous car an eye catcher!!

Well after fighting with the drivetrain and getting it to a point where I can move on I decided to go appearance for a few months. I've been planning a low budget makeover for the car. I was planning on getting the Ronal Firehawk rims but there is no way I can afford them so.....I thought how about the Black cross lace GTA rims. I love the way they look. And to top it off a ram air II hood for the car. I've always wanted one and so I'm thinking I need to get it. Tell me what you think or any alternatives. I have a pic of my car now and one that I did a quick photoshop on.

How it is now....

How I picture it in a few weeks.....

That hood looks better with the 91-92 nose. Just my opinion.

Looks and sounds like you've got a plan. I can't wait to see it when it's finished.

Your color looks great. I can't afford to do anything right now except for little stuff. That would be a great combo. I wanted Firehawks too, but the GTA wheels were easier on my wallet.

Damn stupid hosting site. Bunch of retards must be working there. It just all of a sudden put itself out of bandwidth. Oh well. Just click on the links to see the pic.

I'm guessing this was because you saw the dreaded red X.

A little biased I must say. You didn't say that because you own a 91 did you??!! Thanks for the opinion though. I won't be changing the nose because I actually like the one I have better. I seems to fit the body lines better.

Thanks. I was actually thinking of going black. Should I?? Man I'm just too damn confused.

If you DO go for new wheels, tell me what you'd sell those ones on it now for...

Nope not biased. Just stating what I think.

I'm having a hard time deciding on the Ram Air I vs. the Ram Air II hoods. The RAI was my first choice, but the RAII is growing on me more and more. Stock hood? Bleh! By the way, either way you go, fix that hood-nose cap gap. Wowzers!

I think it looks nice. However, the more trucks and imports I see with Ram Air II hoods...the less I think our cars look nice with them. My plans are either for the Ram air I, or a fiberglass firebird hood with my Trans Am vents put in. That should still look clean and classy.

Are you serious?? You are talking about the 15" honeycomb ones in the first pic right? If so I'll let em go VERY cheap.

By the way, either way you go, fix that hood-nose cap gap. Wowzers!
That will be fixed BY the new hood. My current one is bent funny in the front (hence the gap).

However, the more trucks and imports I see with Ram Air II hoods...the less I think our cars look nice with them
True....but if you like the way it looks then that shouldn't stop you. Who cares if they have it or not. It won't look nearly as good as the ones on our cars (where they are meant to be).
