Is my Grant GT wheel aluminum?

Thats the question. I've gotten really good at polishing things lately and I was thinking of polishing my steering wheel.

I assume its powdercoated, but I've taken powdercoat off aluminum peices before and it came out very nice....it just takes time.

Here's a pic - I beleive its aluminum...just wanna make sure first

if u really wanna know take a magnet and put it to the test, if it sticks it sure isnt alumn. i have the same wheel (had one same color as that) but chrome now.

Your wheel was actually the one that inspired me to start polishing mine...

I'm gonna try that magnet thing out. I hope the powdercoating wouldn't block any "magnetic" effects. I don't think it will...

the powder coatin shouldnt effect anything. its just like findin out if ur car has body filler on it, u take a magnet to places that u think or know that has body filler and the magnet shouldnt stick.

edit: also my wheel isnt polished its chrome dipped. i bought that one from work becuz it was the only one we had and i wanted to replace my faded silver color one.
