Eibach Pro-kit installed...
Finally got around to getting a couple pictures of the car with the pro-kit on her. These pics kinda suck since it's so bright outside, but here they are anyway... makes the back end look like it's sitting really high, but it doesn't really look like it in person to me... maybe because my driveway is slanted?

Thanks guys. llvll4l2c91350: were your front springs a PITA also? Man, that SUCKED. It wasn't anywhere near as hard/dangerous as some made it seem, but it was still such a pain... me and my dad had the most trouble with the swaybar endlinks(someone put the wrong ones on it and they were rusted together
), and getting the A-arm to line back up when we re-attached it... or did you do it the other way by taking the steering and stuff loose instead of taking the A-arm off at the pivot bolts?
I also painted the fender wells with flat black rustoleum while I was there... I think it's a nice little touch to help it look like new that people overlook.

I took the whole arm out the first time thinkin it was gonna be easier, but then i just bolted it back up at the pivots, stuck the spring in there and slowly jacked it up. this was the dangerous part cuz the springs could've popped out anytime since the only thing that was holding them was that little bump on the arm where the springs rest.

Yep i did the same thing but used gloss instead of flat. looks real nice. i also did the air damn and all the black that's under the hood, like the heater box, strut tower covers, fans, pulleys, etc.
made it look cleaner and newer.

It's 15% tint. I got the pro-kit for 195$ from thunderracing when it was on sale for mardi gras. It's a 1 inch drop, and it wasn't a HARD job... just followed the book and stuff, ran into the usual stuff that gives you a hard time. I'd set aside an entire day for it... on a saturday/sunday would be best incase you don't get it done in one day.

Sweet. Are the heads all have been holding you back? Did you do a port and polish since they're out already?

I've been wracking my brain for months wondering if I want the Pro-Kit or the Sportlines.... I've constantly heard stories about the Pro-Kit sometimes raising the ride height, cause of the saggy stock springs. But it looks pretty nice here. What to do???

Yeah, if I had a really expensive set of heads I'd be afraid of messing with them too. I wanna get me some old heads and mess around with them.
Snow90Camaro: My wheels? I have 85-87 model IROC-Z wheels, they're 16x8.
CaysE: Yeah, I was afraid too. I guess it all depends on if your car is sagging as it is or not. My car sits pretty good. I might try pulling the isolators out of the back to see how it sits, but it's perfect to me right now. I think some people just aren't installing their springs correctly or something. I wouldn't go any lower then the pro-kit(that's just my opinion). My exhaust scrapes over some speed bumps now, but I didn't get new shocks/struts because I don't have the money. If I had some stiff new shocks/struts I think my exhaust wouldn't scrape. Personally I think any lower and you're gonna tear/scrape/scratch up your front ground effect and I just got new paint, so I didn't wanna chance that. If you want more of a slamed look, go with the sportlines - but be ready to pay for it with your front ground effect.

It's really hard to tell how much drop you will get,, it will vary so much from car to car.
I just finished my SPORTLINES on my '85 and it hasn't seen the road yet, so it may change but this is what I got. From the ground to the bottom of the fender, just above the center of the tire, it was 27 1/2 " now it's 26 1/2" But it will problly change some after I take it for a ride.
It looks to me like i still have plenty of room, But I hope it dosn't go much more. It's right where I want it now.

scott's85T/A: I know people say their springs settle and what not, but I think their springs are just settling into where they should've been installed if installed correctly. I'm pretty sure(don't quote me though) that on eibach's website it says that their springs don't settle, what you see is what you get.
bubbakutz: Nope, just 15% all around. At night it's a bit hard to see, but you can see headlights good through it, that's what I go by. If you're going down a dark road with no lights on it or something, in your rearview or if you turn around and look it's ~PITCH~ black. It's kinda freaky but cool, lol. If I could do it again I'd have gone with 5%, but here the limit is 15% and it looks pretty good.
EDIT: If you guys are looking at my 2nd pic, it looks really dark because my dad's truck(DARK green) is next to it and makes it look that dark. I think in the 2nd pic my tint looks alot more like 5%. If anyone wants other shots of the tint on my car, let me know, I'll post them...
