well, Shean, ya got a LOT ahead of ya, trust me. i worked with that plenum about 6 hours just to get that crappy (by most standards) finish. but good luck and maybe you will get it lookin better than i did since you have it off and i didn't. go look in the Tech section here and find out the proper procedure to do it, thats what i did...

good luck with her Shean!

Josh

well so far ive doen about 2.5 to 3 hours of sanding by hand with 150 grit. but then i retro fitted soem sand paper to the dremel and it took like 10 minutes to do the rest of the runners and plenum. today i start the wet sanding with 320, then 400.

i picked up yesterday 3 hard sanding wheels and 2 soft. im going 1 hard emery, 1 hard tropoli, 1 soft tropoli, one hard white rouge, then last 1 soft white rouge and they should turn out very nice.

kyle, if you want ill do this for you but i dont do it in your engine bay. you pull your TPI and ill do it for $50.

I know he isnt polishing rims, but when i started doin mine the clearcoat was really really hard to get off..so much as i had to etch it off the center of the rims w/a screwdriver..is that normal?
