im dropping a mild 350 carb motor into my maroon 86 iroc, im about to paint the block and heads, etc, i just cant decide of a color. Right now its chevy orange but needs to be cleaned up, and im not a fan of the orange, i thought blue, but thats too much ford/pontiac, i thought black, but thats too basic...i cant decide now.. itll have a brand new intake manifold, chrome air cleaner, chrome engine bolt kit, chrome valve covers, (you get the point...chrome..) sad part is i actually considered white...i want it but that would not look good afdter i start the car even the first time, lol, oh well, now i'm debating between bright red, or Maroon(same as car)....any ideas.....

 

IMO the hell with color on the engine just chrome or polish the whole damn thing.

 

Black or Chevy orange would be my choices. But now that you mention it, red or maroon wouldnt look bad at all. Add some shiney stuff to the engine, and it'll look good any color!

 

If you have anought of polished goodies on top black is not all that plain. In fact I think it ads a great contrast.
