Man this is an old thread. I suppose I'll throw in mine though, since I actually have something to post about.
My custom grill, hand made by yours truly.

And my custom ZR1 center cap emblems. I came up with the idea on both of these mods myself, so as to my knowledge I am the only one with either of them.

Is that a lense, or insert that you bought, or did you make that yourself? I like it.

Those were lenses from an 85 T/A, but the square grid was in bad shape so I just busted it all out and started from scratch. I basically masked it off on the inside and painted it. There's a thread around here somewhere with several pictures throughout the process.Originally Posted by BlueZee28

heres a few things, 98 grand prix door handles, old twin turbo hood with a 2nd gen camaro scoop cut up to sit on top. I'm gonna glass in the other 2 vents, they remind me of a clown tear drop or something, and some home made aluminum grills, not sure what to think of them yet, it snowed after i built them, so i have not seen them from a distance.

Supreme Member
Let me know how the door handles worked out. I was going to try and get a set off an Intrepid or something, but the Grand Prix handles looked like they would work as well. If they fit the countour pretty well, I'll try to snag a set of them one of these days.

Not really anywhere...unless you want the ultra-thin (cracks or breaks easily) crap from Home Depot...not to mention that stuff doesn't come powdercoated black. I got this stuff online from customcargrills.com. They are a little overpriced, but I figured I'd eat the cost since I wasn't going to find anything exactly like this in the pattern I wanted.Originally Posted by Twin_Turbo

I was at the track and the factory snorkel intake boot kept collapsing at WOT so I decided to make my own cold air intake which is a similar design to others I've seen on here but I took it a step further. I cutout the battery tray and made an airbox out of sheet metal the same dimensions as the tray and bolted in place. The bottom is angled downward to scoop up cool air. Works like a charm. Pulls hard at high speeds.

I've got to add another thing to my custom mod list.
I made my own cold air kit with some 4" tubing, two 90* elbows and some clamps. I used a universal 9" K&N tapered style filter. I still have to put a plastic or rubber shield on the back side of the filter so crap doesn't fly off the tire tread and punch a hole in it.
Oh, and I suppose the LSx swap is somewhat custom too.

Hey The Swede, those sill plates are pretty sweet! I like the placement too. I made my own as well, but I just replaced the plastic ones. I never would have thought to put them there.
Also nice to see Zephers old car. Wonder where that thing ended up.

Ive done a couple "Custom Mods" like onese ive created myself. In the pic below you can see spark plugs in the tail pipes, its for a flame thrower that I am in the process of installing again. I couldnt get it to work with my TPI setup so Im going to try with the carbed setup. I actually got the kit off of ebay. Sorry about the dirtiness, its in my highschool shop and im doing all the work on it myself. The first pic is of it on the frame machine, it was previously in the an accident and the passanger strut is rolled in. You can also see part of my custom fiberglass dash that I am making. Its got holes for toggle switches and a cup holder. Im thinkin on junking that one and redoing it now that I know how to work with fiberglass. I made a custom gauge bezel to hold my digital gauges but thats still in the process. I have shaved off the antenna and I ran it up the A pillar on the passanger side but i really need a hidden antenna that will be stronger. Painted my rims black too, has a copo look to it. I also used VHT nightshade and tinted my markers and my tailights. I also shaved off the front camaro emblem.
Besides those I have an SS hood, I picked up a billet grill for 50 bucks shipped(not an overlay) IDK what Im going to do about the lisence plate. Engine wise im switcing to carburated. And I have 93 camaro seats that im having redone in black vinyl with orange stitching and Z28 on the headrest. I will get the windows tinted 20% on the sides and 5% on the back. My paint i am doing two tone Atomic Orange on the bottom and Black on top with Orange on the side of my SS hood scoop. I am going to make a custom Ram Air intake to make my hood scoop functional too(going over ideas). Audio I have 2-12" subwoofers and a friend of mine is building me a custom box for em that will have more air capacity then the one i have now. I also have a flip out monitor and pioneer speakers.

Regardless of whether anybody else likes it or not, I'm sure one question you'll never have to answer is: "Now where did I park?"
