Type of paint?

Im getting ready to purchase the paint to paint my car. I have heard lots of different things. Should I go with Basecoat-Clearcoat? Single Stage? Tell me what type of paint you have and how it worked for you? Thanks!

I used Dupont Basecoat/Clearcoat, very happy with the results. There are different types, I went with the high end Chromapremier clear coat rather than chromaclear clear coat. It is about twice the price, but well worth it. I still used the chromabase basecoat though, I did not think chromapremier base would make much difference.
Here is a pic.

Thanks for the advice, I think I decided to go with Basecoat-Clearcoat, what is the best value? Im kind of on a budget and I think Dupont might be a little outta my range, how much did you pay for just your blue and clearcoat, no flames?

Thanks for the compliment Ej. The Clear coat and activator/reducer was around $400 for the chromapremier. The color, just for blue, including basemaker was around $350-400. But if you want cheaper materials I have used Nason clear coat, which is made by Dupont, but is much cheaper. I think it is around $120 for a gallon, but I am not sure. I am with you on the money issue, I am a college student so money is tight. But I wanted to do it right and ensure that I would be happy with it.
