Humidity = Sagging headliner (?) Remedy?
My 6 cyl Ttop car's headliner likes to loosen up in humid or rainy weather. In normal weather, it looks great. I was thinking maybe starch or something sprayed on it in dry air would keep it tight. Anyone else experience this and have any suggestions?

This also happens in my T/A with T-tops. I bought some 3M spray on contact glue. I have not tried it yet but I should have it done by middle of next week. I will keep you posted with some pics.
Buy some new headliner material. JoAnne fabrics has it for like $10 a yard or something close to that. Pull your headliner, tear the old cloth off. Go over it with a brush to get all the old foam off. Score a can of spray adhesive (NOT 3M..see below), follow directions. Apply new headliner material. Take your time and its one of the easiest things you can do.

Youll need to seal up the cardboard type custruction to get it from stop sagging. You sould pull it down set it out let it dry out compleatly then coat the top (unseen side) with a few layers of clear fiberglass resin w/hardener (10bucks a bottle). If your problem is just your material is hanging then you need to redo it too. then you can fibeglass both sides.
3M adihsive spray says right on the side of that can "Not ment for auto. headliners" id say get the proper stuff or contact cement if your useing vinal.

Either do it yourself or you can buy a completely covered new one that will NEVER EVER sag again from ThirdGenResource for about $150. I bought one from TGR for my RS, but redid the one on my 'ROC myself (saved about $120) and it's still doin' fine! Just make sure you take your time and do it right.

Just make sure not to put the headliner in prematurely. I was dumb enough to put mine in before the glue dryed and am back at square one again
