NEW VIDEO: Great American Cruise. Burnouts, donuts, etc. F-bodies, w00t!

I went to the Great American cruise in Beavercreek, OH at Quaker Steak & lube. The folks from the Northern Kentucky F-Body Association and StangBangerz.com all got together and as they were leaving they tore the place up with donuts, burnouts, etc. right in the middle of the street... and the security people were okay with it! It was great. Check out the video here. (56k-er alert, it's 28 megs)

http://www.motorsportconnect.com/vid...atAmerican.wmv

There's an awesome thirdgen in this video which is why I think I can justify posting this here (please don't lock me....). He doesn't do any stunts that I caught on film, but it sounded amazing and scared the crap out of me... I was standing behind it and it sounded stock, until he revved it up and I about wet myself.

All in all it was a great event. First car show I've been to in years that featured domestics only.

Haha, I know it was great... they had the "security" people with walkie talkies and stuff and they let it go on for quite a while before they were like "Alright, that's enough of the burnouts...." They were actually stopping incoming traffic so that people could show off and do a burnout or donut and take off, and then they'd just let them on through....

Let me know what you guys think

What do you mean by select a driver?

You should just be able to right click on the video and choose "Save As...", and then save it to your computer. From there, just double-click it and it should open in Windows Media Player.

Nice vid. That should give you some ambition to swap out the Tranny.

I very much agree, but I only saw two thirdgens at the meet while I was there, both Camaros, and I didn't catch them doing anything on camera.

If there's ever a thirdgen meet anywhere remotely near me (Dayton, OH) I'll definitely be there with a camera ready.

Nice vid. That should give you some ambition to swap out the Tranny.

lol, indeed. My car's sitting in her new home now (we are in the process of moving... only about a mile away max, but a much bigger house, and she's got a two-car garage now), so that should help.

I have a GeForce 4 Ti-4200 Video Card with 128MB of video memory. My video capture capabilities are built on to the board. That's what I use for most of my capture. But for this particular video, we didn't have our camcorder handy, only my buddy's digital camera... it's made for stills but it can take video clips. It connects via USB. I use Adobe Premier for video editing.

Did you try right click, save as?

If it's only displaying sound, you probably need to update your Windows Media Player.

I tried two times to get the video and both times the download stopped mid movie. I was able to watch about 30 seconds of it and the movie was cut off. What causes this? How can i fix it?
the movie looked pretty bad *** from what i saw of it, nice job guys.

Cool video overall but you have to stay still while taping or use a cam with steady shot. The jumping of the video gave me a headache. Otherwise very nice.

That's odd, I'm not sure why it would do that....

Did you try right-clicking on the link and saying "Save As..." like I've told others?

Thanks for the compliment.

Yeah I know it's pretty jumpy... the problem was, we had no idea this stuff was going to take place. We didn't have our normal video camera. My buddy had his digital still camera (which can take video clips too) and we had to keep running back and forth to different places to get the footage, and we kept running out of room on the camera so we would stop, delete some pictures, and take some more video, so that's why it looks so jumpy, we had to keep rushing around to get the footage.

If it had been planned we would've gotten a steadier shot, but it was a spur of the moment thing.

Did you get to see the whole vid? What did you think?

I live in Huber Heights, and I work about a mile down the road that Quaker Steak & Lube is on, in Beavercreek (Colonel Glenn Hwy.)
