clear side marker question
clear side marker question
Do you guys with the clear side markers use clear or amber bulbs? I just got some clear ones and wondered what you guys use because at night I noticed that the clear bulbs and markers are pretty bright, maybe too much. Thanks

In Texas on the rear of the car turn signals must be red or amber. Brake lights have to be red. Reverse lights have to be white. Most clear tail lights are illegal here because according to DOT no red bulbs have been approved and clear lights don't allow the red to be seen from the required distance.
On the front of the car, turn signals can either be amber or white. However you are not allowed to have blue or red. So the light up winshield washer fluid nozzels aren't legal most of the time. The blue lights need to be made illegal if they aren't already. I find them bright and annoying.

In Oregon it is legal to emit white from the front end of a vehicle, however turn signals must be amber. HOWEVER I've had White LEDs for both sides and front for over a year and gotten NO trouble for it
It's not hard to check local laws, knowing info like that can dodge a ticket!

they're held on by metric bolts, 10 mm i believe not entirely positive. In order to get to the taillights you have to remove the panel on the back portion ofyour trunk in order to access the bolts for the taillights. And yes i'm pretty sure one can should last you for the two front turn signals and taillights

Ok dude, it's really not that hard, just dig into it, that's how we all learn, through experience. After you remove the panels in your trunk area there are large plastic wing-nuts holding each tail-light on, like 5 on each.

no in teh trunk you have those interior panels, the one that is furthest back that is on the back wall of the trunk, remove that and behind it will be your access to the taillights. Theres really nothing you could break, its just a matter of unbolting things
