Well, my car is long past that point, roughtly 95,000 on her. But she's got a new heart with less than 1,000 miles right now, and some new legs with a little over 60,000 on them. New shoes too. ^_^
SMURFN' Z28 doesnt that suck. It killed me when i saw my 85 trans am turn 50000 miles, it was kinda wierd. Now the car has 52188 miles on it . i wish i could keep it under 50000 miles but , it's a car and its meant to be driven.

Umm...you did catch that he was talking about his car hitting 50,000 miles? Sides, that speed is easly achievable in traffic on the highways without being too obvious. Hell, on 355 its a 80mph run from my house to work about 10 miles away. Takes no time at all.

my 87 has 145,000 and is still rolling. I actually hit 100,000 as I passed my hometown Pontiac dealer. The funny part was that day they had gotten their first Firehawk 98 up body style on the lot! It was red like my beast! I was driving by and saw it and glanced over and saw it. Then glanced back barely in time to see my speedo roll from 99,999 to 00,000. So it rolled over in front of the new Firehawk...cool, eh?

OH 50,000 thats cute i think i just hit 138,000 no problems yet. Oh wait a minute i only have like 3,000 on the new 350tpi but it's still fun to watch the odometer roll up anyways. And I have to aplaud the picture quality at 75 mph. I have trouble taking good pictures standing still!!:hail: :hail:

I've noticed that some of the nicest camaros/firebirds (all cars for that matter I guess) are the ones with a lot of miles on them. I've got 200,000 miles on my camaro, but she still runs VERY strong. It was just well taken care of the entire life of the car, and that's key. Cars with a lot of miles just have owners that take care of them and love them. -89IRO

you guys suck. I had 150k on mine when I pulled the motor out. It was still running strong though . I took it apart and it looked brand new!
I wish my mileage gauge had one more digit so I could be 100% sure it has 200,668 miles on it (which I am 90% sure it has) instead of 100,668 miles! I got the car a little over a year ago so I have no idea if it is 100,668 or 200,668! LOL. I'll tell you what though, whatever it is, it sure runs like it's got less than 100,000. Is there any way I can varify my mileage? By the way, it's an '89 IROC-Z 350. -89IRO
not that its always the most reliable way, but follow your chain of title. If you don't have the title with the mileage on it, check something like carfax.com they should have the mileage at every time the title changed hands or there was an accident (if any).

thinking to mine, 70 = 2000 rpm, you seem to have about the same gearing as me, last time i hit 3000 rpm in overdrive, i passed a mate doing 95 like he was going backwards!
