what are some things you can do, or have done, to your thirdgen to make it look more aggressive?

 

You could get an SS hood, ground effects from a 91 or 92 Z/28 would look good, and a new spoiler, new rims, maybe tinted windows?

 

17 X 9.5 inch rims, ram air I hood, lowered hopefully one inch, tint, getting rid of decals, new black paint. hopefully all will be done before the Nationals.

i'd say my formula will look aggressive after all that.

H4 headlight swap always a good one... paint your third brakelight... lower... rims.... GFX.... exhaust system... everytime you take off leave to big ol' black marks from your posi rearend taking off and just leave them in your smoke...

 

Tub out your rear end and put 3 feet wide tires on...... haha just an idea if you had like 3 grand. I always wanted to do this but Im gonna save that for my 70 charger project.

 

Some meaty tires and exhaust tips. An SS hood would look great as well.

But the way I see it "it is possible to run 13s while looking stock" To all the Hondas out there

 

its possibel to run tens while "looking stock" from the outside if you really wanted to.

Lower it, decent paint, decent rims (stock polished or nice aftermarkets, no 15 inch crap, 17 or bigger with 275 or better at all 4) tint.

I don't see why you need to have 17" wheels to look aggressive. I'd be more scared by a car with 15" wheels and ET Slicks on them.

 

hehe. We have a '98 SS that looks stock....except for the big ol' hoosiers under the back....runs 9.50's. On a stock bottom end LS1!

 

thats what im sayin, little tires in the front, and big rubbers in the back on 15's

 

yeah ive been looking at ordering an SS hood and the 91-92 gfx, lowering also sounds good too. but moneys just a crunch right now, oh well summer is near and ill be out of school working so i should be able to solve that problem soon. what kind of exhaust tips were you guys thinking, ive seen chrome duals and borla tips that just look strange on these cars. mine are just the stock pipes going back but instead of having plain tips the tip of the pipes are cut parallel to the ground, if you can picture that. like someone just took a sawsall to them but they look really good, plus i like the exhaust hidden under the car, on these cars anyway. anyone ever run side pipes on a thirdgen? or is clearence too much of an issue, id be interested to see pics if its been done, thanks

 

deff the more intimidating look is the 15's with pizza cutters on the front and huge rubber in the back over the 17's and 18's which im not raggin on because those look badass also. but for getting peoples minds goin nothing beats fat slicks in the back and a lumpy cam.

 

I agree, that's what I like. I gots the 295/50/16 out back - but my front tires are too wide (235/55/16). not to mention they're 16s

 

ram air 2 ss hockey stripes black outs corvette rims powder coated tinted windows et streets lumpy as s cam with 14-71blower weind of course glass packs with a y pipe raised a little in the rear lower in the front.

Drop it, but not too much and upgrade the rims...either ronal firehawk style or larger iroc style rims...

 

what the best way to lower, eibach??? how much more do you scrape after you do that?

 

Lower, 4"cowl hood, Predator ground effects, 16" Iroc Rims, drop in a nicely built 350, and getting ready to paint it black.

 

Thanks everyone... The hood I bought as a package with the spoiler and t was like $1,250 all together with shipping.. Yes it is funtional and I have the intake box... The way it is designed, no rain makes it to the intake box or engine...

 

What do these predator GFX look like and where can you buy them? Im painting may car this summer and looking for some more ideas. Thanks

 

I have the Eibach pro-kit (see sig) and I do experience quite a bit of scraping...but it is manageable. After a couple of spins, I learned how to avoid most scrapes...

 

It is raining today...if it stops I will back the car out and snap a pic for you. I had posted some pics here before that were taken at night under flourescent lights. If it stops raining I will get a pic for you. Or I will get one tomorrrow.

Make it faster. tail lights always look more agressive than open road.

Thats not to bad.. Thats was for the hood and spoiler and the hood being cut out in the front and back and grills and tax and shipping...I got it from GTAutoaccesories...

um...that is primer. I guess in the pic I can see how it could be mistaken for rust. The only bondo was right where the rivets were and where I did a couple of patches. There is very little bondo on the car at all. Just on the rear where I welded in the holes where the spoiler used to be and one spot on the passenger side where I welded in some new sheet metal.

How agressive do little tiny wheels with tires the car doesnt need make it? I see it all the time, 14 sec cars with 10 inch et streets, thats sad if you ask me. Nuthing quite like a nice set of 18's with a 13 inch brake setup, 6 piston alcons filling up the hole, thats aggressive.

 

18s are heavy thats why racers use 15 and 16

 

I think both can look aggressive. Some nice five spoke rims with huge brakes backing them up looks good, as does some 15" Prostars with some slicks. But then you get the people with the rims designed to show brakes who keep their drums and then the people with the drag slicks on 15 second cars.

put lots of stickers paint it pink a 5 in exhaust and some nittos with toyo stickers and of course u have have big *** subs

too me my car has that aggressive look/ wanna be prostock look goin on

 

you can get 18" wheel/tire combos that weigh FAR less than your typical 15" setup. The reason that big tires suck for drag racing is because you need sidewall flex to provide a shock cushion when launching, plus you can air down the tires for a bigger contact patch.

I don't think anything looks meaner and more agressive than a Factory 2002 Black Trans-AM WS6 with Ram Air. Maybe with the 02 collector edition wheels on it. Give it that black on black look.
