What is bad about wax with silicone in it?

When i got my hood repainted the guy that painted it sold me some wax. it is Car Brite's perma glaze. He said car brite is the only products he will use on his cars. Car brite products are only sold to detailers, painters, and car dealers so i figured it really had to be good. I've been using it for a few months and it leaves the most incredible deep glossy shine. i even tested it againast zaino and it looked much better than zaino. But car brite products all contain silicone my friends are telling me it is bad for the paint. My dad said it is just bad for new paint not old. So what is bad about silicone? i don't see anything wrong with it. Should i stop using it?

the silicon makes it harder to wash the product away and bodyshops keep as far away from it as possible since the silicon is the main reason for fisheyes in the paint... whenever you want to do something to your paint (pinstrips, stickers, compound) make sure you wash it correctly with silicon remover... besides that you will be fine

I've found that the silicone products give the paint a darker tint. I suppose on a dark car that's cool, but on my IROC it makes my paint appear more red instead of red-orange.

I use the Eagle One detailing spray, which is pretty much all silicone. Most of those detailing sprays are.

#7 is the best car wash powder on the planet. Put a coupe shakes into a bucket and you can wash 3 or 4 cars before the suds fade. They stopped selling it around me so now I'm using some other powdered garbage that barely lasts long enough for me to do one car.

But anyway... when I detailed at a dealership I used Korkay products, including their wax. The wax was FANTASTIC for a detailing business. It went on and came off SUPER easy, put on a half decent shine, and lasted fairly well. The ease of use was what made it so great. One time I was waxing a BLACK 4-runner outside in the sun. I applied the wax to the whole hood, then had to leave to go pick up a customer. Later I came back, and the stuff wiped right off after baking in the summer sun for 2 hours.
