This doesn't look too bad, does it?
We had to roll my friends car into the garage to do some work so we rolled mine into the driveway so I decided to snap off a few pics.
Doesn't look all that bad, does it?

Yeah doesn't look too bad, especially for that overnight rattle-can paint job
how come you didn't paint the part next to the windsheild though?

The pictures actually make it look really good, it's actually crappy in person. Some of the maroon shows through on the sides, which I didn't notice when I was spray painting since it was about 3am and quite dark outside.

This is what the car looked like a couple of years ago before I started to mod it,

Go with black primer. That way you can just roll her on into the paint shop.
well it actually got me thinking about just doing a cheap paint job with spray paint...i got like a 4 different color camaro im driving around in and i wont have any money anytime soon to get a paint job. what kinda paint did you use? i know i have to sand down my car and then spray some primer on but i heard that you have to use a certain kind of primer and paint..

I just grabbed some black spray paint off of my shelf and painted the car.
The cans said General Purpose Spray Paint and there were 2.5 cans there. I am not sure what kind of paint is really good, still need to research it myself. I just didn't like the car being multi-colored,

yeah i wish i had pics of mine but my car has a black front clip and drivers door, gold gfx, primer grey hood, and the rest is red but faded to pink in most spots.....did you just paint over the old paint with out sanding?
Looks good, I kninda like the dull black look to it, but it'll probably look even better with some shiny black paint
I liked your old WS6 rims better then the OZ monte's though, What year were those off of?

The WS6's came off a 97 WS6 Trans Am.
I wish the WS6 wheels had an 11" size, since that is what I want on the back of the car.
I'll probably end up with some ZR1 or Grand Sport wheels when my car is totally finished.

The GS wheels are what I really want. I am traying to find someone that wants to do a straight swap for my OZ's.
I like that hood with thouse GFX, and i even have grown to like the z28 GFX on the sides....
But damn, i just cant get to liking those wheels on that car.
I thought it looked much better with the ws6 wheels.

The spray paint and the all primer method doesn't look all that bad, just kind of dull. I am kind of in a similar situation. I want to get rid of some rust on my car, but I would have primer spots all over my car.
I can't afford to have a paint job, not to mention body work done right now. I think Zepher's solution seems reasonable.
SydwayzTA 86 and Zepher,
How does the paint hold up to rain, moisture, and heat?

The paint seems to be holding up pretty well. It's now stored in the garage while I work on it.
Did I ever mention how small my garage is?
Here is the garage,

This is where my car has to sit when I close the garage door,
