What color should I paint it?

My car is getting closer than ever to being ready to get painted. I need some opinions as far as what color to use on it.

Here are some things to consider:

The car is an 84 Transam.
Originally black.
T-Tops.
Interior is Black and Gold.
I live in Vegas where it's 115 degrees.
I plan on keeping the stock rims (gold and silver)

Please let me know what color you would use and why. Thanks guys.

Black if you keep all of the gold stuff.

if your leaving the gold interior and rims black is the only way

or you could get crazy and paint it gold, like some of the 70's ones

might be interesting and would be cooler in the desert, might even blend in

so is that a good thing or what? i mean, it looks nice, is that what you were trying to show me? or are you showing me all the little dimples and stuff? or is that just dirt? my name is simple, i couldn't fit "Underground Master" which is what i use most of the time, so i used "VU" which stands for "Virtual-Underground.com" and my first name, hehe.

I've always said, if you're going to repaint a car, why go with a stock color? Unless you want to keep it looking stock, pick something different. Change the rest of the car (interior and wheels) to match a custom paintjob. Unless the stock color is your favorite of course.

Bright Red for Camaros and Black for Firebirds. There is no other way.

no questions, black is the best for reflections. here's a pic from another member and I forget the name because there are three names that getmessed up with his, but best reflection pic I have ever seen.

i'd say black, but if your choice of blue is like the viper blue that would look pretty cool too. but also if you do a color chance teh car should be 110% tore apart to make it look good.

my car was very dirty in that pic. but the reflection was what i was refering to. well, now your name makes some sense. welcome to the boards.

the most importan thing about black, is that you need to be very carfull what you use to wipe off the paint, as many things will leave small marks that have to be buffed out. also, when your car is painted, dont let nobody buff, wet sand , the paint for about a month (more if it is cold) that way the paint has a good cure time, and will make the paint much harder than if you were to buff and wetsand right after being painted.

thanks
anthony
