85, i agree with ya. Sounds like someone wants to be a mod. huh?!? hehehe anyway, this should be locked, and unlike 85, i do not like stangs at all, so thats just one more reason for this to go in my eyes... but thats just me.

5.0's have always struck me as sort of small. Maybe it is just some sort of illusion.
The point, the 302 might be a good engine.
But a 305 in that size car would probably get the same number's the 302 gets.
Or vice versa if you were to put a 302 into a f-body *shrugs at thought*
I dunno.. what are the dimensions of a fox body and a thirdgen back to back?

I have to agree with 85IrocNOH on this one. I love the Mustang don't get me wrong. I have a buddy with like 7 fox bodies and they are awesome cars but this is a 3rd gen Camaro and Firebird site. It is specific to 3rd gen Camaros and Firebirds. A Mustang just doesn't really belong here. I understand he is proud of his car and he should be but it would be more appropriate to post his pics on another site not dedicated to one type of cars. Stangholic, you have a nice car and I appreciate that you are owning an American muscle car instead of a wannabe racer Honda however let's keep the posts related to the boards

the 302 engine is good for one thing, road racing. the fact that gm doesnt use it any more is for that reason, it was good for scca but a dog on the street until it got to its ungodly high power band. the reason the 5.0L mustangs have a power band thats street friendly is because of their cylinder heads, they are still soggy in the low end and dont make nearly as much torque as the tuned port injected 305s and 350s. the TPI is the exact opposite design of the 302. Low end and midrange power vs top end. wouldnt work out. even an LT1 intake wouldnt be sufficient to wind to 8500 rpms. 350s are the worlds most popular engines for a reason too. not flamin ya, just saw the opp. to let everyone in on that.
I got a Stang too (85 SVO) but I dont post about it here because this is a thirdgen only, tech only website. I understand you only want to post pics and talk about cars but the truth is, its a flame war waiting to happen. Some of the members on this site cant control themselves, but it has gotten alot better since the Mods started really enforcing the rules. Nice Stang!

The truth is, the reason it's a "flame war," is because other people can't read, listen to, and follow the rules. Don't blame their mistakes on the members of this board who follow instructions. I think it's funny that you're being sympothetic with this guy and then mention the Mods and enforcing rules.

as for a lower optioned car running faster than the dual cat car, the dual cat car might not have been broken in as good as the lower option car, which will rob hp and make a motor sluggash.
as for imports, whats rong with them as long as they are rwd or awd, and dont have nos stickers all over them.
my 84 1/2 supra, it is a good car, but currantlly it has a spun rod bearing

I have seen this one to many times. Every time I put my two cents in people get mad at me including 3rd gen members so I am going to keep my mouth shut. What the heck I will put my 2 cents in anyway! In my opinion I think he just wants to see everyone argue, he is turning 3rd gens against each other!!!!
Sam's right!! FIGHT THE STANG!!! Im posting a pic of my car so maybe this can be saved.... theres more pics in my sig if anyone wants to see them

My friend has a show mustang he wants me to shoot both our cars with some strippers we know at a granite rock quarry next to the natural springs pond.
All of your cars are very nice looking
I am not trying to play innocent man, I never tried to argue with any of you about anything nor am I trying to "make the 3rd genners fight." Thats rediculous, I will take my pics off and maybe you guys can stop getting so pissed off.
I posted my pics because I like my car and over on corral.net people that have or even used to have mustangs will post pics of their new cars(whatever they may be) and people don't start to whine about it. I'm sorry all of you got in such an uproar about it. The pics are off.
