Umm break dust shouldn't be really hard to get off. I think you may be trying to get off paint or something because it should come off with your hand rubbing it and water.

Armor All makes a product that's pretty good. You might consider it. Regardless of product brand, you may well have to provide a substantial amount of elbow grease--at least that was the case after I'd purchased some used IROC wheels (several hours over several days). Now that they're clean, I simply use Eagle One polish from time to time.

You definitely need to use this....Eagle One Etching Mag Cleaner. It's perfect for our stock rims. Spray on wash off. I know those usually don't work but they made my dirty A$$ rims look brand spanking new. Trust me on this one. It's in a black bottle and can be found at any Pep Boys or ABC auto store.

I think p21s wheel cleaner is the best and safest I have used. Some of that stuff you find at these auto stores do more harm then good.I have only found it online(autodetail.com)but hear some bmw dealers have it.Its expensive but worth it,I think.Since I started using it I havnt used anything else.

Ive been having this same problem i use wheel cleaner and i clean them about once a week but stuff just stays on there. I used some metal polish and that got it off, its just a pain.
