another way to make polished parts look better

this is the stuff im using, the only thing i forgot to include was the 3M perfect it III buffing compound:

the windex in the simple green bottle easly removes the oxidization from the polish, compound and polishing glazes. this is all applied with a snap on high speed buffer. a 10" cotton wheel for the compound and the Polish. a foam pad is used for the polishing glaze and swirl remover. seems to look better ill have to see it in the bright sun, i went up to 2000 grit and i think i should do it over with 1200 and leave it, to many fine scratches, dont know if the polishin glaze and swirl remover removed em, have to wait till bright sun light.

try sanding with 180, 320, then 400 wet and using compounds to get a mirror like shine, would be a lot easier in my opinion in terms of time consumption. Looks good either way however

Looks pretty good.

But please dont tell me you polished the wheel with that wheel weight on.

Heres mine in the daylight with only buffing with Mothers and doing the whole sanding process. Ie. 80-2000.

Mothers' rocks.

Tkes forever when you do it by hand. I'll spend about 1.5 hours on each wheels with just the Mothers polish.

Oh yeah, back on topic, looks good. Time for some day shots.

Good lord, now mine didn't come out that nice, but somewhat close, and from it sitting all winter, thewheels look crap now specially after seeing yours.

Wonder if just putting more polish on them will help?

Thanx Mark. These wheels have been polished for over a year now, and they do dull out a little after a while, but I just use a buffer and some Mothers and they come out looking like that again. So yeah, give yours another quick polish, and watch them come to life again.
