The ones they have at third gen resource i am thinking about getting them. Are they as nice as brand new ones?
Are they polished?
Are they clear coated?

I know this post is old as hell, but has anyone got the restored 91-92 wheels from thirdgen resource? I am really considering getting a set for my 91Z. My car looks money except for the damn pink wheels. Thanks for any help.

You can sand the pink areas on the wheels and repaint after you tape everything off. I had a shop do mine for $200 and they look like brand new.

if you already have some without a bunch of road rash i think it would be better to just redo yours. it gives you something to do if you get as bored as i do too

You can sand the curb damage and make it look a lot better if it's not too bad. I used a file and smoothed out a lot of blemishes around the bead area.

What kinda shop did yours? Just a body/paint shop? I might look around to see what that might cost, as I dont have much time to do it myself.

SHOP

I took mine to a regular paint and body shop. They removed the old paint with a stripper and repainted the red. They also cleaned the aluminum and shot the whole wheel with clear coat.
