275/45/17 is a perfect fit on 17x9.5's with a 5.5 bs

People have went with 17x11's out back also.

Just to let you know though a 275/45/17 is expensive. I used to work at Pep Boys and a P245/45/ZR17 Ultra Z was like 139.99 plus mounting and balancing. I sold two to a guy for a 4th gen bird and it was like $340 total! There nice *** tires though. Just curious anyone got some pics of their car with 275's?

yes...i'd like to see pics too. is the stance lower with the 17" rims? i'd like to lower the car with just wheel/tire changes...and keep the gap at the fenders as small as possible.

With the right offset/backspacing, you can run a 17x11 in wheel with a 315/35/17 in the back and a 17x9.5 in wheel with a 275/40/17 in the front (there's absolutely no need to go bigger than that in the front).

It may be possible to run a 18x12 in wheel with 335/35/18 in the back (I've seen it on a 4th gen).

i've seen 20's done:

and the above post regarding the tire sizes and widths on 17's is about as far as you can go without big time changes..

That looks like stock ride hight or maybe a 1" drop. See how much space is under the front lip, not much of a drop at all.

you can do a 20"x8.5"-9" all the way round. you could fit a 20x10 with slight modificatons (read: harsh hammering) to the inner rear wheel well. I've personally run 20's and they were fine. i just decided to take them off and put them on my truck and go back with the 16" irocs.

I am going with 17x8 (4.5 bs) front and 17x9.5 (5.5 bs) in the
rear. I am going to be using 255/45/17 up front and 285/40/17
in the rear. I know there are other people on this board that
have run this same combination and it all fit nicely.

CaddiBird - I got my 4 tires from tirerack.com and they were less
than $600 and shipped within 3 days. They are Kumho Ecsta MX's
and I saw good reviews on them.

Hey WRAITH the color of that car reminds me of a line from "American Graffitti" "Whats that color? Looks like a mix between **** yellow and puke green"

Kumho Ecsta tires = $600

Stepping on the gas creating "less than ideal traction" = smile on face

Looking in the rear view seeing and the wonderful smell of the "less than ideal traction" = bigger smile on face

Remembering you spent $600 on tires and that you'll need $300 because half the thread of the rear tires is now on the road = priceless

LMAO cheap tires produce a better smelling smoke though Oh yes I can see(or is that smell and see the cops?) it now, the torque my Caddy engine putting out will send the 215/65/15's on my car to a smokey death. I only need to complete two things, finish off the valve train on my engine and drop it in the car(I've been saying the last one for the past year).
