Hey, i am thinking of putting on some ground effects for my'87 bird. Does anybody have any good pics of some sweet ground effects? Where can i pick up a kit? Do some add fog lights and others not? Lets see some sweet rides with some sweet Ground effects!!

 

How about 91/92 ground effects?

I have the stock 87 Trans Am ground FX.

 

The 87 ground effects look awesome! I just may have to pick some up for my 87 Formula. Was it hard to wire in the fog lights? Am I better off junk-yarding an effects kit, or buying new?

 

You should try to get the FX at your local junkyard. It will be a lot cheaper, just make sure you get some that are not all torn up. My car came from the factory with fog lights but fog lights aren't usually hard to install.

If your '87 didn't originally come with Ground Effects, chances are that you'll need a new front and rear bumper too. The holes for the fog lights are incorporated into the front bumper.

 

There would be no way to modify my exhisting bumper to handle the fog lights?

 

No you couldn't use your stock front. The front end on the TA is one piece. Everything you see under the headlights is all one piece made to look like a two piece.

anyways, if i haul off and find a TA front, will it bolt up fine to my body? Is there anything different with the TA rear bumper?
