What kind of motor, and where are you located?
Damn though that paint job is sweet.
It is funny you spent 400 bucks to do that in your garage when the same paintjob at a "reputable" place would cost at least 3 times that.
Excellent job.

Looks bad ***! How about some close up pics? I'e been mulling over painting my car myself. What kind of process did you use? Equipment? Did you mask off an entire area of your garage? More info would be greatly appreciated! Matt

its a built carbed 355 with about 425 hp on motor and then a 175 shot of nitrous. im in PA so if anyones interested let me know.
my parents have a 2 car garage i pulled it in crooked and soaked the entire floor with water to minimize dust and masked off the car and went to town with a sears craftsman spray gun. the paint for the flames is a sherwin williams hot rod paint with a blue base coat and a green pearl coat its changes from a freaky blueish purple to a iridescant green depending on light and all.

Dont forget the cost of bondo, spot putty, sandpaper, reducer, primer, masking tape, etc. etc. etc. I have almost $400 invested in materials, and my car isn't even totally in primer yet.
I like the layout on the flames. Whenever I see a post that says "Check out the flames I did myself" I always cringe and expect the worst. Yours looks great, no matter how much you spent.

damn joe, it looks good. I haven't been up at your place lately to see it in person. Actually, these are the first pics i seen since you told me you were getting your new hood. I love it!

355 sportsman 2 heads, .454/.480 lift cam victor jr intake, and a 750 dp carb built to take abuse and a 175 shot of nitrous = 600 hp roughly on juice.

I know nothing about paint & equipment but I have been interested lately in getting my own stuff. What type of gun did you use? I know you said a Sears craftsman what model? How much? What should I look for when buying a spray gun? Great job by the way! Where are you located?

Lol, I was expecting to see something less than that. It looks good. I like how you made the flames butane colored instead of your standard red, yellow, orange, white.
