After I recently got into an accident with a sprint van and half to repaint my mirror fender and buff the front and i have the urge to repaint my car again keep in mind the car has only been painted for 3 weeks now. I want to keep my marroon on it somewhere. but i want to do something diffrent. I however don't want 25th or 30th anneversary style stripes i want something diffrent, because everyone seems to want stripes. I was thinking like doing something like whats on a 78 RS package black top or white or wilver or something I'll put in pic of my car and yall give me some ideas. Is that color purple haze/hawian orchird from 1992? Looks very very good!! As far as ideas i can't think of anything besides stripes maybe just paint it with some metal flake or whatever it is that makes the paint look sparkly.

 

Purple haze with some color soordinated flames might be interesting.

 

I would deffinitely keep that color. Then either add some flames or a peel back thing like it is pulling the original color back and replacing it with that color.

 

In the pic where i taped is kind of like on a 78 /79 RS there i want is with either black or white or some silver. As for the existing paint it is called Dark Cimiran Poly. It is a 1979 GM Paint Color I believe it goes on Z28's ????? But the PPG Paint code is 3098 and when I mixed it i put a little more red oxide in than what the mix called for.
