Thinking about tinting my car. Anyone have pics of theirs?
First off, camaros are known for their subperb AC and maybe tinting is one way to begin fighting this problem in my black camaro. I want to know of anyone who has theirs done if they would recomend it and if they would have pics to show me of their tinting, it would be appreciated.

Here is a picture of mines. I don't have AC anymore so I don't know if it helps or not. Tint looks good but sucks when your on roads with no lights and its dark out....
i have 32% on the side and 5% in the back

5% all the way around. A/C doesn't work. I have yet to own a vehicle w/o having the windows tinited 5% and probably never will. In the few cars I've had with working A/C, the tint didn't seem to make a dramatic difference in the air temp but, it does keep the sun from baking you through the glass which, does make it seem hotter.

thanks man. I am getting a conversion Freon system to change my freon to the cheaper kind. The kind i have now is 50 dollars per can b/c it kills the ozone. So im switching to the cheaper freon and hopefully it will work.

Do a search, you'll find a couple threads on tints with pics.
I have limo on the back and 20% on the sides. Pics are on my website.

i had a quote done and to tint the whole car except for the windsheild...any amount of darkness and any color is $160. They can do any percentage but when it gets below 20 than they cant give you the recipt lol.
If you don't have tint on the car, you can probably get a professional tint job for around $100 or maybe a little more. Anything less than 15% costs more usually. Also, 5% is VERY hard to see out of at night. I have 15% on my white GTA. Before I had it tinted, the car would get scorching hot. With the tint, it still gets hot, but not so hot that I can't stand to get in. If you get tint and use one of those windshield shades when you're not driving, it makes a huge difference. With 15%, you can see out really well. I never have a problem seeing things at night. You can't see in the car very well either which I think is a plus. It's illegal in most states, but I've never heard of anybody getting a ticket. The guy who tinted the windows on my cars said that 95% of all the tint jobs he does are not legal. Matt

Just got my windows tinted last week with 23% all the way around. I love it
It doesn't seem to affect the temp inside the car too much, but it blocks out the sun fairly well. The 23% is darker that I had originally planned, but I still like it alot. I would recommend 23%-33% for the side windows. Anything darker, is too dark!:nono:

That ice was all torn up from drop in hockey before it and i still had no traction spinning is a given! My tint was like 166$$ but make sure they'll do the rear window one piece and not in strips a couple of palces i talked to wouldn't do the rear window as one sheet of tint this place did and its nicer no lines. They also put a strip of black vinyl between the edge and the defroster line so there wasnt an empty spot. good luck
