My car pic...

I finally have gotten around to taking a shot of my '91. It's a little crappy (640x480 camera) but you get the idea. I now have 3 of the 4 formula wheels polished:

Here's a closer shot of the wheels. It's not mirror, but I only spent about 5-6 hours per wheel as opposed to some folks spending 8 hours.

I may be selling it in the not too distant future too. Too many projects!

How do you people get those rims looking so shiny? I have got the same rims and mine are looking pretty old and beat up. I was looking to buy black or gold gta rims. But if I could make mine shine like that I might just save myself a few bucks. Any help would be appreciated.

9$ for mothers aluminum polish, sandpaper, buffing wheel, and lots of time and elbow grease.

StealthElephant has it right. It's lots of work. They look 110% better than they did, but I figure if I spent the extra time at work doing overtime, I could have just bought a nice new set of 17's. Oh well, gotta finish the last one now...

Here's a pic showing a rear one finished, and a front still waiting:

awesome pic. I think it really shows people the contrast of what this easy and cheap thing you can do to make your WHOLE car look better. Sure its laborious and time consuming... that just makes it all the more worth it when you're done. You can show people pics like that and say "These stock rims used to look like this" ;;pulls out pic;; "Now look at em."

 very nice work.

Thanks for the compliments. I just wish the car looked as good in person as it does in the pix. I have paint faded on the roof/rear end of the car pretty bad. If I end up keeping it maybe I'll get it painted sometime soon.
