A couple wheel options for my car

I'm exploring wheel options for the IROC. I want to go up to 17" (or maybe 18" if I go with the z06 wheels) wheels for the handling, to fit bigger brakes, and of course for the look.

Here's 2 lousy photochops

tt2s with graphite painted spokes:

Z06 wheels with a Grand Sport paint scheme:

Another possibility is the ROH ZS with the graphite spokes.
At least I've got a long time to decide.

I vote for the 18" Z06 wheels with the polished lip and black spokes, but only if you're willing to drop the car a little more. Only reason I say that is the shorter sidewall of the 18" tire will accentuate any fender gap you might have. If you are going to keep it that height, then I would vote for the 17" ROH ZS's with a polished lip and graphite spokes. Either way, thats going to be a really nice look.

I already have virtually no fender gap (look at the first pic... the 2nd pic isn't my car). The problem with the Z06 wheels is that the 18" rubber is going to be expensive, plus with the roads around here...

I hear ya. It was around $900 for my set of 18" tires. Looking at the 1st pic, I say definately go with the Z06 wheels. The only thing I would be worried about is they are so wide it might have rubbing issues. Definately get reinforced sidewalls if the roads are rough. Do it!! You know you want 18's! Do it! *LOL*

jim.. photoshop some 17" iroc wheels polished with the accents grey like stock. i think that would look good, or try 92 style firehawk wheels, those will look sweet.

I'm not a huge fan of the black rim idea, in fact i'm not a fan of any rim unless it's chrome, big surprise there, but if i had to get them, i would get the 18 inch black Z06 rims.........

I'd thoroughly second that (except for polished aluminum rather than chrome) - Black rims are just a funky look. There are some charcoal silver Z06 rims that wouldn't be so dark perhaps you could look into that.

Those Torq Thrusts II's look awesome:rockon: ! I always thought black wheels look sweet on the right car (then again, I am just a little biased )...the pic makes 'em look more like a glossy graphite color than matte black, which is just right.

The TT2s are a graphite color. I've seen them on a few 4th gens and I absolutely love how they look on red cars. The polished TT2s don't look right on IROCs to me, but with the graphite it's got that killer old-school look.

I also think they will look a lot better than they do in the photochop. I think my mind is made up.
