y u gotta edit it out.... it my thread aint it... n it is having 2 d wit it so what if it is a few years newer it is a fbird.... i seen pics of some wired foreign car bcuz it had a nice blue paint job.. it wasnt a 3rd gen.. or even a camaro or fbird... not tryin 2 sound mean or nething but i think i gots a point...

and second, give the moderators a break, internet space is expensive and theyre just doing thier jobs. now i never saw the deleted pic, but if MetalliCamaroRS felt the need to remove it, im sure he had good reason. besides who do you really think knows
better, a junior with 14 posts, or a Mod with 5k+ ? next time try a little humility before you embarass yourself....

now back to the topic, im undecided on orange with a silver stripe
maybe orange with white stripes for that hugger look, or black
with silver stripes, but i think orange with silver just doesnt go
together. but hey its your car man, whatever looks good to you
is best. at least its a thirdgen

i have noticed that people have wanted to see some unique paint jobs on third gens lately and i also am one of those people. isnt there a member on here that his wife or girlfriend draws pictures of third gens and that flynlow92rs actually modeled his car after? what about her maybe she can draw up some nice custom paint jobs or at least draw out your idea and have someone do a photoshop of it. just a thought

yeah i know what youre talking about. saw her work posted here a long time ago. shes pretty talented, as i remember she drew up a design for one BADASS formula as well as some wicked looking firebird symbols. maybe her husband/bf will see this post and we can see her work again...

i think it is about time third gens get unique paint jobs. that way we will have some head turners running around. i have big plans for my third gen and appearance is one of the first things i am going to fix up.

ya.. u have a point but i always type like this on aim n stuff ill try to type normal but it kinda a habit the sunset orange looks more copper to me than orange and the car he deleted was just a forth gen firbird with a custom paint job and sunset orange was one of the colors in it or it was close 2 the same thanx for the help

Being that i can't post a pic, I painted my 90 Rs A Copper/sunset metallic color with white stripes it looks kick (you know). If you look for one of my post it's been a while ago, and I lost my pictures but you might be able to find one of my previous post's.

i think it would be an awesome lookin paint job , the chrome on the other hand , its kinda wierd , i dont think it would look good on a thirdgen , a cobra or old jaguar or something . W E R D for life

Hmmm, sorry but I dont know the code. When I bought this car it was already painted. The previous owner told me the color was SOM from a 4th gen. I got the car for $6,500 but it was a deal because it came with nice paint and a s-trim blower. I was looking for a 91-92 Z28 hardtop and happened to come across this car so I went for it. In all honesty, SOM is not my favorite color, but it beats the heck out of the regular faded paintjob you usually find on 3rd gens for sale. I always think about changing the color someday, but the more I look at it, the more it grows on me. The wheels are Boyd Coddington 'Tuned' 18x8 front w/ 245/40/18 Potenza S-03's and 18x9.5 rear w/ 275/35/18 S-03's. They cost $2500 for everything (kinda expensive because of shipping to Hawaii). I just got done redoing the suspension (weight jacks f/r, koni reds, and 2 in drop spindles in front), the car is slammed now, way lower than it was in these pics. And in about 3 weeks I'm gonna start a T56 swap and redo the rearend, so I'm pretty excited!!
