What does everybody think, should I do this?
I wanna do this to my car. That is just the paper cut out layed on the car, and the other 2 pics are photoshoped samples, what does everybody think? I want to go for a blue / silver look, maybe with purple tips and like a red wine outline. Any suggests / comments please let me know

the first pic looks good to me. don't like the outlines / tips so much.
however.. it might look a little off if you don't continue that color on to the front/sides... doing just the hood would be kinda ghetto.
->EDIT : just noticed the sides are done.. so i just assume you'd be doing the front too
do it!

do it! I always like a good flame job, but outlined and tipped i dont care for much. It is however your car
I like em when they are faded into the natural paint.
My friend has a 54 chevy stepside he did the flames, they looked great.. until he had them outlined/tipped

I say go for it. I have seen the outline on a few cars and it looks good if done right, which most aren't. If you can find someone that has done it and you can see thier work and it looks good then go for it.

For the most part I dont think flames look good on 3rd gens, I dont remember who it was but it was posted on here a while ago of a 3rd gen with some wicked ghost flames, that looked good, but thats the only 1 i have seen that looked good.
SC82TA that looks really good...I did want to have the front end / part of the fenders silver....and then it breaks into flames, I got the idea from this car. I think it looks sweet, but I want my own design.

I like the first one you posted w/ paper and w/o the outlines.
I don't like the side flames too much, they seem too thin to me.
Just my opinion of course

What about using that pattern to make ghost flames. If you painted your car black you could paint the flames a real dark purple or blue. I think it would look better that way. When you get close you could see them but they wouldn't be as drastic as two completely different colors.
