A gift from Jebus?

THis stuff is a *** send! MEGUIRES QUICK DETAILER. I am in love i bought a bottle way back when hoping it maybe would shine up my old paint and it didn't. So today i see the bottle in the garage when i'm getting ready to wash the bird and i see the bottle in the garage. It really didnt need to be washed just had some water spots from the city of aurora watering the streets and about 4" of dust because where i weld there's a high skool being built so it attracts the dust. This stuff is great looked like i had just washed her and i didn't even have to break the watering restrictions. I'm going to try some of the quick wax soon just to see what that does cause i'm am amazed at this stuff and have always been a mothers' guy. Gotta a show tonight see how the judges like it!

ive used that, i personally like, the detailer made by "the wax shop" and the new one by black magic. a little off topic, but now your a welder? i though u were a zambonie driver, and your 17, arent u in school?

I always knew how to weld but now i am looking at some of the real good paying welding jobs for after i graduate but i'm not certified. I'm going to school for the welding to get the certificate. I am still a zamboni driver and also mow lawns for a landscaping company on the side. I'll be 18 in 35 days. I got to school from 7:30-9:15 then go over to teh welding school from 12:15-2:55. My girlfreind gets pissed cause i'm always working but i have no other choice. My choice of toys is an expensive one. I'll have to try the wax shop stuff i've heard thats pretty good.

And theres no "e" in zamboni!

just to let you know going to school for welding doesnt make you a certifid welder. if you get into the AWS you can take the welding certification thru there and then become a certifid welder. i know this becuz i went to skool for welding for 3 yrs and the only way i know of since the schools dont offer it is goin thru the AWS and i think theres a big price to pay to take the test and if u dont show, ur out of money. I got a certificat from my school for welding and it just says i took the welding program for 3 yrs.

This program is the only one in colorado sponsored by the aws. Because i checked into that before i took it. I thought about the same thing you just said that you'd only get a thing saying you did. I talked to the instructor and he said you do get aws certified. The class is free if i take it now while i'm still in hs but next year when i take year 2 after graduation its 4k for the year.

Okay makes alot more sense to me. but is that 4k just for the schooling they give you or that just for the test? becuz i know its a nice chunk of change just for the test.

Thats for a year of schooling and the test. And i've been told by guys that took it earlier the test is a giant pain in the ***. The welds ar x-rayed to determine if it has good penetration and what not. Luckily my mom works for the school district so its actually only going to be about 3500.

thats a good price for schooling and the test, yeah from what ive heard with the test its long and hard and when i was told about the tests on the welds i was told it would have been a destructive test and not an xray test. basiclly for the destructive test they have you cut off a good part of the plate, clean it up with the grinder and they hit it up with some dye penetrant stuff and that shows all the little imperfections.

i did that at skool and we took 3 pieces of a plate i did and after the tests, there was no imperfections in any of the welds, not one weld. i just wish the writen part wasnt so hard or else i would have put the money up for the test ( im not good at writen tests) and gotten certifid, well maybe one day.

back to the topic

the wax shop stuff is the best detailer ive used but pricey at $7.98 a bottle. They also make a wax that is very good. One wax that is horrible is color cure by turtle wax, it does bring out the color some but barely even gets water spots off the paint. how sad!

I've got to agree with you on the color cure stuff. I used that when i was trying anything and everything to get the car to shine and i hated it. But what is the equivalent to advanced auto parts. For instance in colorado its called checker not schucks or whatever is it like autozone?

I don't know if you guys have problems with bugs like we do around here, but the quick detailer is great for getting off bugs and the nasty stuff that collects on the quarter panels. Before I wet the car when washing it I'll spray the detailer and let it set for a couple of minutes while I hit the windshield and hood. When I get to the nose of the car the bugs come right off without having to scrub like crazy. I've used the wax and I had some problems with it, but mainly because it gets so hot around here it's impossible to keep wax of any kind for long.
