Anyone have Intrax 2 inch drop springs?
I'm going to be taking everything apart again for new insulators, and I'm contemplating dropping it more... I was convinced that the pro-kit would satisfy me, but like some have said, once you lower it some, it won't be enough for you. Some say the intrax are great, but others say they sag and end up bottoming out the suspension. Anyone have any input? Thanks.

I have purchased a set of Intrax lowering spring also, but have not installed them yet.
I still have my V6 springs in after the V6 to V8
swap. Do a search on Intrax spring you will
find more info.

I've searched through and found bits and pieces, I was hoping someone else has something to say. Or maybe people that have them have had time to get to know them better and get a second opinion...

i love them to death, they give camaros a great stance, i have plenty of pictures but im on a new computer and dont have them here yet, but i have a digital camera and will go out side and take some asap, i havent had many problems with the car actually bottoming out except on certian bumps around town.....but i havent cut the rubber bump stops like some people say to yet either, like you said it is addicting i even want to lower the rear a half or inch lower too....overall great stance, great handling....and they are the lowest on the market without customs....

I have them in my Formula. Theyve been installed about 3 yrs now. The ride is harsh, the cornering is awesome. If you think your car rattles now give those springs 6 months to work on the dash. hehehe.. all in all.. I love them.

I have Intrax springs sitting in my room right next to me. I had some problem with my posi-clutches chattering, which I mistook for wheel rubbing when I turned, so i put on the Eibach Pro Kit. I realized my error but left the Eibach springs on...
I got the Intrax springs for sale if you want them, I only took them 50 miles before takign them off, and they are nice and purple.

The car does seem to handle off-ramps and cutting accross three lanes of traffic quite well......It will be better when more mods are done, but i say it's a great starting point, and they did improve the cornering abilities....

Well, not everyone seems to think the Intrax springs are top notch as far as performance and quality, but hey, it's bang for the buck, baby. They're cheap, and out perform stock by a long shot. I don't have anything else besides factory springs to compare them too, so all I am certain of is that they are a great improvement. It rode just fine with the 16's, however with the 18's it can get a little rigid at times. I would like to go a 'lil lower than 2", HOWEVER I don't want to rub (10.7" of meat up front), and the curb clearence is astonishing, about a couple milimeters over the average curb. So I think I'll leave the stance as-is for now (Until it's on bags... kidding! - however Air-Ride's Shockwave kit IS bolt in :rockon.
Da stance...
Da stance...

intrax springs
As far as i know, no other spring lowers your car more than the intrax. But a 2 inch drop is the bare minimum on a thirdgen. The eibach pro-kit (in my cellar) is a joke, no one will see that the car is lowered. If you want a real sharp look, especially with 18inch wheels, you need a 2 1/2 to 3 inch drop.

Hi, Graboid,
What kind of lowering spring you are using ? How many do you drop? I had 18's on my bird too and thought the front is too high when running the stock size of tire, if it is impossible to run fatter tire, I may forced to drop the car like yours.
Thanks
Joe

i have intrax and i cut some off them.....half a coil front and a full coil in the back. The diameter of the wheel is stock in front and +.65 inch back. BTW, good to see that i am not the only one on this board who sucks when it comes to write english...

sorry to interrupt this thread but what qualifies as "a 2 inch drop". 2 inches from what??? The iroc and rs have two very different ride heights and my iroc seems to sit about as low as many of those cars....if someone could explain it thatd be great!
