Getting my Torque Thrust II's SOON, what tires to get?

Hey Guys, I'm VERY close on getting a set of 17X9.5 Torque Thrust II's....and I really have no idea on what brand/size of tires to get. I don't want the tire place to jip me on some crappy thin tires. Anyone have any idea? I'm going to be getting anywhere between $50,000-$100,000 dollars...so any ides/suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks

IMO, 275/40/17 BFG KDW would be perfect.

humm wow that is a lot of money.. i just hope its from the lottery and not from a family. BFG's or Nitto's seem to be the best out there.

I don't know if Nittos are the best out there but I really love my 450s on my 16s. I highly favor them over Kuhmos. I also like the NItto 555 series too, and I also like Toyo tires.

$50,000 - $100,000......

I would go with some Pirelli PZero tires, expensive but hey, it's not like you are going to break the bank purchasing them......

$50,000 - $100,000......

I'm getting that much because I was in an accident about 1 year ago in my old 84 Z28 Camaro (1992 Z clone) an old lady hit me in the rear...totaled my car...and I'm left with 5% disability in my back. I should really even be getting more cash.....cause I can't even hardly lift over like 35-40 lbs. I haven't gotten any of the money yet...but....my lawyer said I'll be getting it shortly

I agree, but if you live in a snowy area, I'd roll with the KDW-S version, it is a better tire for rain and snow. I love my set. I'll be buying them over and over until they stop making them.

By the way, the Nittos are not at all meant for snow, although I do drive them in snow on occassion, which makes for some interesting driving techniques. Lol, if money is not a big issues, get a set of tires for winter on old rims and get a more drag style tire for the dry seasons.

Thanks for all of the suggestions so far guys....I forgot to mention that I don't drive it in the winter or when it's really cold or anything...

I have 17x8 torq-thrusts on my bird, and run 255/45zr17 dayton daytona zr tires, Hook up great, and get good treadwear, with a 9.5 i would go 275/40.

Yo Shawn, don't go with the Pirelli's. That's what I have on the 1LE, I'm not impressed with them at all. Go with the BFGoodrich KWD tires. Sell me your old wheels!

275/40 pilot sports y rated if money is no object or if you don't want to spend that amount the toyo proxie t1-s y rated is a really good tire. they both work alot better then the others mentioned and have a really aggressive yet useful tread pattern.

Ok....is it alright to post this picture? Is it relevant enough? I want to show some of these people what my car will look like with the Torque Thrust II's.

If the car is only used in good weather, get the BFG G-Force T/A KD.
KDW is really good as well and is about $100 cheaper.
KDWS are not great for performance on dry ground, decent all season tire, but lacks in dry performance.

I have plenty of experience with the KDW tire.

Does anyone else 9.5 is going to be to wide for the front? The reason I tought 9.5's would be ok is because a friend of mine just got a set of the SLP's 17X9.5's for his B4C all around and they fit and look great.....

The Firehawk wheel has the perfect backspacing , it only rubs at full lock.
