In side wheel wells???

Has anyone painted in side the wells. Do you use spray or a paint brush. What kind of paint did you use so it does not come off. Mine looks old and dull in the light, just wondering if any one has done this.

You could try POR-15, that way it won't chip or rust again. Check out www.por15.com

I had no rust in my wheel wells so I did not use por 15, however, I had real good sucess with semi flat black engine paint. It has some shine to it but not alot so if you drive it in the rain it still looks good, where as shiny would have water spots/dirt showing up.

First I cleaned it up real well, then sprayed 2 lighter coats to make it black again. I did not load on the paint. Because it is on the thin side it does not chip off. I did have a light coat of undercoating in the wheel wells, I just sprayed over that.

I just use this Premium Rockerguard spray can you can get from Canadian Tire. Its a nice black color and sprays on thick and kind of rubbery.

Something like that would be durable, and easy to clean (just spray off), but would draw too much attention to the wheel well. You want to use something that looks right at home and is not attention grabbing. Anything textured isn't a good idea. A flat black paint would be the best bet. Maybe a non-gloss chassis paint?
