the louvers wont turn out looking good.....3 different colours in the paint scheme is going to be too distracting. Remember a car done well should have a certain line to it and anything that distracts the eye from the line of the car is a bad thing. I think it would look amazing if you reversed all the colours black with metallic red stripes with black louvers.....possibly red with the black stripes and red louvers? doubt itd turn out good tho....best of luck to ya.

red with black or reversed would be fine....keep the louvers the color of the stripe.

i saw a dark metallic red 91 with black painted anniversary stripes and it looked terrific.

I think you should keep the louvers black- I've seen them painted white once and gold once and didn't care for either.

absolutly nothing. Functional ones allow for hot air from your engine bay to escape but the ones on the iroc hoods (the little black vents) are non functional basically there is no hole in the hood underneath so they are just for show.

ive seen a pic of it done once but there is no kit to make them functional youd be doing a custom job. ie removing the louvers, cutting a hole in the hood, and then finding a set of open louvers and finding a way to install them. The only crappy thing is if you drive your car as a daily driver all of the water and junk will get into your engine compartment and it will probably be really hard to keep clean not to mention progressing how fast it will rust.
