parking lamps.....gone!
i had to do it. I love this guys car so i cleaned it up a bit more.
im think about doing the same to my car. ill like rig up the headlights to act as turn signals. anybody ever done this? you guys like it?
and i think that getting rid of the seem between the nose and the fender looks really good. i hear its real hard to do though. maybe if the nose and fender were fiberglass then you could bond them together or sumtin. i dun know, but ima try to figure a way to do it....any help would be great!
(edit: oh yah, i got rid of the nose emblem,z28 badge, and red chevy logo on the grill.)

well okay id leave your fog lights and turn em into turns because your turns have to flash yellow and you cant have either of your head lights doing that....other then that i think its a cool mod.

I don't like it...it's too plain. I do like the one piece headlight mod though. I think FLYNLOW has done that with his ride. Very sweet. I wouldn't recommend shaving that seam off on the nose. There's a good chance it'll start cracking after awhile.

I like it a lot better on a car thats painted, but I'm still not sure if I like it that much.
To me, there is just too many things in the front of a thirdgen/fbody.
You;ve got two headlights, turnsignals/marker lamps, license plate, badge/emblem, and a big open spot for the grille.
It's all personal opinon that matters I suppose. If you were to get rid of the seam, the turn signals/makrer lights, and get one solide headlight I think it would look sharp.
To me an all white car with minimal trim, tinted windows, and what little trim is left, paint gloss black.
You end up with a pretty sweet looken ride. The absence of all those things really adds to the lines of the car (more sleek, and stealthy looking) in my point of veiw.
I belive, you can g et a filler that doesn't harden quite solid, and a paint that is semi flexible as well. If you use that instead of fiberglass/hard *** expoxy, it should flex with the car. Unless of course you hit a curb/parking stop.
Here's a little photo shop of the one in your sig

Dude, Drone that looks bad ***! Maybe you could integrate some turn signals into the front GFX or something. I did a photochop on mine like that at my site.

What about a composite style headlight with headlights, brights, and turn signal that all fits in the orignal headlight pocket, but with a flush look like headlight covers ??? Thats what I would like to do eventualy.

Here check this out, this is from the newer impallas. There is a black peice of plastic that seperates the different lights/reflectors, because this peice is black even with a clear lens it looks like it is blacked out. I think if this light were rearanged/reshaped to fit into a camaro headlight pocket it could be a good way to solve many problems. You would get a smooth look with out the receced lights, and the parkin lamps, plus it would apear blacked out yet still give really good lighting.
Some time soon I plan on getting ahold of one of these and making an attmept at reworking it to fit my camaro.

The first pic makes it look more like a race car front end. Don't care for the single headlight pic though.

You might be able to use the original photo he has of the shot in his sig, and mirror it.

heres an idea-
would foglights behind the billet grill be bright enough to be used as turnsignals. (assuming you tint them yellow or use a yellow bulb).

Fog light turn signals would be TOO bright. You could either use some of those generic aftermarket side markers, or what I did for fun was drill the back of a cheapo set of fog lights out, then mount a 1156 bulb socket onto it; it became the franken light (similar to the a poor man's unerlighting, didn't use it long). You'd want to use a 1157 socket. Just a suggestion.
I had a blue bulb in mine and I mounted it so it "sprayed" out from under the front lower GFX - kinda cool actually.

But I'm still primer for the time being.
If you want any info, shot me an email @ webmaster@danielbuck.net I'd be happy to show ya how I did it (I took lots of pictures of the entire process)
I am using my stock foglights as the blinkers, and have had no complaints. If you do have some complaints, I guess you could angle them downward a bit.
