well i got my hood in and on.. everything looks great other than theres a few nicks (3) that are really small, but the gelcoat is chipped off, but ill fix all that when i paint it (dec / jan). Still have to put on my 92 front bumper cover / lower gfx, and z28 highrise wing, and some other goodies. tomorrow im cutting the back of it out so the cowl is open, ill post pics and how i did it after. also how did everyone get there wipers to not hit.. the middle wont be a problem cause im removing the backing, but what about the other one (right one if your looking at the front). any details would be great.. anyhow heres the pics, the last one is just an underhood shot cause everyone always asks what it looks like underneath.. even though its not a great pic, its something.. comments please.

Looks nice, i got all excited when i put mine on the car.....

Have you ever seen another 3rdGen in real life with one?? I have yet to see it on another car....

If you are gonna be repainting the car, I highly suggest getting rid of that antenna......It's small, but IMO it ruins the look of any car.....

good to see another SS hood in the family! My wipers clear my SS hood fine...I didn't have to shave...or cut anything.

Another point to bring up, it looks as though it's not centered between the fenders(1 side looks real close) to avoid rubbing issues, i placed a small washer in the screw to push it a little away from the fender....

I love the look of those hoods. If I had a Camaro, thats the hood I would go with.

well tonight we cut the back out of it, and it looks amazing.. ill have some pics tomorrow after work, but it was pretty straight forward and easy.. also on the ss hood, the left side sticks up more then the other side, like it gets hung up on those rubber stoppers on the sides, sticks like like 1/4" how can i make it sit lower on the side, thanks.

He is right, call and talk to Rex. I got mine at a great price as well and saved a little more by picking up directly from ASCD a few weeks ago.

As for the wipers.....I have the same problem, but figure it was due to nothing forward of the firewall lining up like it should.

After doing a search I see now that it is just a matter of getting the hood and fenders adjusted correctly..

The hood looks awesome. Personally if I were to select an aftermarket hood for my car I'd go with a cowl, but I have to admit the shape of that hood design really accents the car quite well!
