Quick exhaust appearance ques.
Hey guys, I'm trying to get my 'new' exhaust finished up.
I'm undecided on how to have the pipe run out the back, straight as pic'd below or try to hide it a little better ?
The square black Z28 tips will be going back on.
Also, (satin) black or aluminium for the muffler color ? I'm leaning towards aluminium.
Input (soon) appreciated (except on the pipe length at the moment
). I'd like to get it done tonight if I can..

It looks good how it is in the pic. I would also go with aluminum for the color.

Thanks for the quick responce guys. I sat it on the ground to get a better perspective. I agree, I think I'm going to go with straight out as is (maybe a pinch closer to the bumper).
I've got a little over an hour before I start pissin people off with the sawzall

Well, aside from needing to make the hangers and perm. attaching the tips, it's done.
Thought I had some aluminium paint but, apparently it grew legs.
I'm still at a bit of a loss on choosing the muffler color though...

nice exhaust job but why the crossover right there? You could have run straight back and set it up with some nice chambered mufflers.

19doug90... here is my previous setup..http://www.deadbird.org/a/du08.jpg
While the mufflers were hardly visable with the car on the ground, the tone (bass) was way more than I liked. The mufflers were borderline questionable for looks as well. They didn't achieve the sound I was wanting is the main reasong for the change though. The mufflers cost me nothing but time which is why I didn't buy chabered 'mufflers'
Diabolical, that looks alot better (not gaudy) than I had pictured but, I have to somewhat side with bnoon since I do have black tips. I'm starting to question if I even like them anymore really.
3.1... is this the angle you were wanting or were you wanting the tips at eye level ?...

Looks great, I say keep the tips black and paint the muffler black and leave the pipes as they are. It matches your wheels and looks pretty friggin cool. If you do decide to change the color paint em white to match your car, that would look bada$$ and I certainly havent seen it before! They wouldnt stick out as much tho, and I still like the black better anyways.

Thanks for all the input guys. I went to get some black and another color (if you consider any of these real colors I suppose)caught my eye which seemed to be a compromise between the 2 (more towards black though). It's cast iron grey.. I'm liking the contrast too. As much as I like aluminium color pipe/ mufflers (depends on the car color too), I'm glad I went with the darker color like you guys suggested.
Z dude.. it's technically duals into dual mufflers in one case but, yea, you're right
Now if the paint would just hurry and dry...
