These are 275/35/18, not too big, daily driven, and don't look bad.

dont have a pic but basically the biggest sidewall you can get on the 275/??/15 would be awesome. Love the look of a nice set of ET streets on just about any chevy!

I used a stock z28 rim(I think its 15x7). no modification just put it on. But you need to be careful when you drive over anthing rough, and you also cant put much weight in the back ethier. for pics I dont have any of the tire its self, but click on my sig and you might see it a little.

I have 255/60/15's on my car and they are more than enough. They have plenty of clearance.
Check out the pictures on my exhaust page of my website.

yeah i dont think third gens can pull off the fat back tire....while they are the closest thing to a muscle car from that generation theyre just too far away from it to pull it off.

i am looking at new tire and whell combos too.
What i have been looking at are the back spacing options , does any one know if it is true that if you bring the back spacing down it will move the location of the tire firther out from the car allowing you to mount a wider tire?

I am thinking of the Weld star drag wheels 15x10" but with the 3.5" back spacing insted of the stock 4.5".

And for rubber if i am planing only to use these tires for track use and mabe to get to and from the track what tires do you suggest i think the 295:60:15's sound nice and beefy, but is that too tall a tire to fit and does it mach up with stock wheel hight or is the spedo going to be off what about the 295:50:15?

i think that wide of a tire for road use only makes it look like you need it weather you do or not meaning it looks good and makes the car look faster

Thanks Guys,
Eli Jacobson

Could you get a dead on side shot? I'm still not convinced that i like our cars with massive tires out back and smaller ones up front but yours looks the best so far.

does anyone know how wide you can go for the stock 15x7? Right now I have 16x8's but I'm trading them for 15x7's and I want a tall, wide rear tire for occasional drag racing. Thanks...:lala:

my84bird for a 15x7 inch wheel i wouldnt go any bigger than a 235/60/15. you could physically put a bigger tire on there, but it will look stupid, and could possibly wear in the middle.

here is a newer side shot. i have changed the back rims though. they are 15x8 with a little more offset. the tires are too big for the wheels, and look a little dumb to me. but the rims are in much better shape.

ill have 295/60/15's on rear 8" rims, and 235/60/15'2 on front 7" rims.. 2nd Gen camaro (77)

Re: Show me your 275/60/15 tire

phew man that is TIGHT!! i doubt my 8" rims will leave space.. im pretty sure my 295 is gonna rub on shock my only hope is that lifting the rear will hopefully taper the shock away from the tire -

guess ill have to see - otherwise spaces and longer bolts requires - uh, not up for that mission!
