What is the widest tire i can fit on this rim.275/60/15 look like too much sidewall. What about 275/50/15.with maybe 5"rear backspacing

I did a search and got a lot of answers.Too many. Will 265/50/15 fit on 15x7's in the rear. Will they flex? Will the speedo be close?Too big for front? Is There any 50's series tire that will fit up front?
Would appreciate any info.Thanx in advance. X

I agree 245's are the most you should go on 7 inch wide wheels. Wider and you will probably hurt traction because the tire must really distort to fit the wheel.

Will 245's fit in front? If so that would be great.I'd prefer a balanced look but want as much "footprint" as I can get.
Thanx for responding.

Found a cool tire size calculator.245/60/15's would be 2.2%slow and 60 mph = 61.3.That's close enough. But will they rub in front.I believe 235/60/16 was an option.I would like to go with 245 all around but dont want any rub.

I'm starting to lean toward 235/60/R15.Speedo will be right on.This wheel & tire combo hopefully will give me a fatter look than my orig 215/65/R15.I would like to go wider like a 255.
255/55/15 would be the best match circumference-wise but that tire size seems elusive.Probably for good reason. Also I dont want wheels that stick out at all.Want to keep em tucked in nice-n-neat.Any pics of your 235 or 255 tires on orig wheels would be wicked cool and greatly appreciated.
