New to Forum
Im new to the forum and glad I found it. Already I have solved my heater core problem just through some simple reading. I figured I would post my ride. Althought its not hotrod style like alot of them on here it is a V8 4bbl 5.0L and gets it. In a month its going under the gun for Jumbo flake paint. Im adding subframe connectors and struttower braces, and my interior I am redoing myself, stiching and all...seats have already been removed.

Welcome aboard. Just to get you caught up to speed (and as a result make you better informed than a huge percentage of people here), 4th gen seats are a direct bolt-in, v6 to v8 swaps aren't worth the money, Mark Shields likes Hooker exhausts and Maaco sucks.

And to Ham. Its cool man. Ive been on the board 3mins and already caught some hate. I am an engineer and like the engineering aspect of it. I wanted something different and I think I get it w/ the hydraulics and it picks up lots of points at shows. Also I have a 97 Firebird that is kept for my speed in the driveway that is getting nothing of the sort besides some HP love. Thanks

Image removed- Please check out the rules. Thanks.

welcome aboard, how bout some more pics with the chick in the pink. I think your car would be a lot cooler if you put some big rims on , its your own style but i think the car would really look awesome with some 17's or 18's , since you have the hyros it would look good. nice car , and different.

Welcome to the boards. I hope you're ready to hear a lot of criticism about the wheels and hyraulics, cause most people are against that around here and they don't know how to express opinions nicely.

Thanks for the replies. I love fbodies and Im glad I found a site that supports them! Its great to see everyone helping eachother.
THE BRA is coming off. The car is geting sanded down. shaving antenna and spoiler mounts. HOK silver w/ HOK jumbo flakes is geting sprayed. I will post pics as they come.
THE RIMS are for the low aspect and I am working on 3-wheeling the car. It is very hard b/c its a unibody so I joined here in hopes of finding some help for reinforcements (fiberglass, subframe connectors etc?). But w/ smaller wheels I can hop and 3 wheel. I may get a wild hair and put some 18's or maybe even 20's on it. GOOD LOOK'N OUT!

I don't know anything about hydraulics, so this may be a dumb question: Does parking the car with part of it up have any effect on the suspension? I would think it would be stressed from being in that position. When I do an oil change I always leave my windows down just in case I need to get something out of the car, because if I open my doors with the front end on jack stands, they won't close right unless I have the car flat on the ground. Does that happen with your car?

Don't matter how the car looks or is set up, if you keep posting pics with scantily clad women, you'll have tons of fans in no time.
J/K BTW It is easy to tell you take pride in your car, so you will more than welcome here at any time. On another note, the wheels have to go.

Thanks guys. With the car up like that there is not too much stress. but when I go side to side the car tends to flex but not much. It does make chaning oil 100x's easier
and I am think'n of putting some 20's on it...ya never know...thanks for the welcome, I hop I can help some of you out!

lol welcome aboard....not crazy about hydraulics on a thirdgen, but to each their own....
I do however like lowriders....I myself wouldnt be caught dead in one, but i am always amazed at what people can get their cars to do! lol
There are some lowriders here in MA....talked with a few of them for a long time at the cruise nights, learned alot but still dont know that much lol
BTW to everyone who has the thought that just cause its a lowrider and can hop around, has tiny 10 inch wire rims and a fuzzy interior means it cant be a badass street machine......lemme tell ya, the guy i met at the last cruise night with a lowrider s10....was about 50 years old, had been in the hobby for a few years, just dropped a chevy crate engine w/ 410HP or whatever......i was getting in my car to leave cause pretty much all the cars had left, hear his engine revving, he left some of the thickest ruber i've seen anywhere but the dragstrip and LEFT SPRAYING SPARKS BY DRAGGING THE REAR BUMPER! lol pretty neat, eh?
Image removed- non thirdgen.

Welcome , nice car, Bra's SUCK! i removed mine and i had a big rust spot through the paint, kinda looked like the pontiac symbol.
The thing i think looks off on the car is the fact you have no spoiler (wing whatever you wanna call it) .

Yeah I need SFCs. Its not like the doors won't close at all, they just rub a little bit if I have the front up in the air.
You change your oil by just raising the car? I'd still use jackstands if I were you, you never know when something could break and then you have a car crashing down on your face.

HaHa. The 2003 Sebring isnt mine. I have another 97 firebird. I personally dont like the wing and Ill never understand why people put them on fwd cars???
I told him to sell it.
The whole reason for the bra was b/c the paint was chipping bad, but DONT WORRY! Its coming off...its getting a full coat of jumbo flake this winter.
We all know why I dont have a rear spoiler. The damn thing was rotted out in the bolt holes! I couldnt save it so I am going to shave the hatchback smooth w/ a small led on the top of the lid. With all of the glass the hatchback is heavy *** hell already, then w/ that wing on there it was just rediculous. I didnt have any options at the time so i trashed it?
And to awnser how much weight is in the back. Well I would estimate that each battery is 1000cca deepcycle marine probably close to 50lbs x's 6. 300lbs. Plus the pumps which weight a good 20lbs a piece. So its heavy

Looks pretty good. What part of Indiana are you from. The background in the first pic looks very familiar to me. I may be wrong b/c I don't recognize any of the other backgrounds.

B: Yes; technically "ethnic" means "Of or relating to a sizable group of people sharing a common and distinctive racial, national, religious, linguistic, or cultural heritage." That means we all have an ethnic background. Therefore your comment wasn't in fact racist or ignorant, just incompetent.
C: That's good.

ya know....the car is impressive. I really HATE hydraulic cars with a passion - but the pictures of your car slammed look fantastic. I know it's the style on those cars - but if somehow I did a hydraulic setup I'd go ahead and put non-whiteline tires on it. I'm also not a fan of Dayton's....but those look right at home with that silver paint.
Nice job and keep up the good work. Just no velvet in that interior

well... at least your not lying about having a turbo 350 thats all i got to say... to each his own... I wish people would stop calling thirdgen red neck cars because as you can see just on this board we have cars from all different people who make there car into different things to fit there needs. and this pic is for you new guy!

Well its really interesting to see your car. Im not a fan of hydraulics, but your car seems to be clean and done right! Also, I think alot of people here are supprised that your not some 18 year old punk talking in slang like "yo check out muh fat diddy ridez wit hydros and sheet!" We seem to get alot of that around here.
Anyway, heres some GOOD info you can use regarding your spoiler... the problem you had with it deteriorating is normal to all the cars. Every one Ive had has done it, and look like hell. BUT, theres a solution! Might not be cheap, but its definatley nice...
http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/in...il?v=1&pid=391
The fiberglass spoilers are sold by one of our sponsors, Hawksthirdgenparts.com You can find their banner at the top of the site as a matter of fact, and Bruce is a really great guy to deal with. For $350, its definatley worth the money to keep that factory look, and itll virtually outlast the car itself.
Good luck, and Im voting for a set of 18's on it!

wow. I must say I am pleasantly surprised at how mature people are being. I was expecting this to be a flame war, but its not which is cool...Like most other people on here, I never got into the hydros, but I respect the fact that you take pride in your car and do what you like.

The only part I dont care much for is the white stripe sidewalls... never been a fan of those on anything .
It's not the weather that makes the state suck...
