Chrome vs. Polished Alum - Pics inside
Since my other thread seemed to stop working...I'll start another one

Here's some interesting picture's I just took. Chrome vs. Polished aluminum. I just polished the one without the button. As you can see, the chrome looks very bright and reflective, but you can tell it has a "plating" on it. The polished aluminum looks deep and metal-like, more of a classy style to it. I think both look cool.

Just some food for thought for you guys.

Yes, the other post "broke" so I'll delete it. Just use this one.
I like polished aluminum over chrome sometimes, especially when it comes to rims. It keeps the definition and shape of whatever it is better, where chrome reflects so much being so shiny and doesn't quite have the same look.

I am putting the chrome one in my car only because I have a line lock (I wanna use that button).
I think both look cool, both have their advantages and disadvantages. I myself am a "polished aluminum" guy.

I've been trying to maintain a polished aluminum engine bay. Trust me - it sucks. I'd rather have chrome. Going to give zoopseal a try once I rob a bank

I love the look of something that is polished
Hence why im in the polishing business
IMO its best to coat your parts with zoopseal to keep them protected for 2-3 years. 130 bucks is well worth the time you will save from not having to do polishing upkeep. Thats why I HIGHLY highly highly reccomend it to all of my customers. Once its polished and coated you dont have to worry about it oxidizing, you just have to peridocally clean the surcafe of any dirt and oil with amonia free windex.
I mainly like polished parts because you can always repolish them if you accidently fubar it with a tool while installing or removing. Their natural look is just so inviting. Sure chrome looks great but sometimes it just takes away the beauty of things.
With chrome your SOL if you do that. Back to the chromers for stripping and re chroming. If your lucky it wont cost that much to have them do that.
