Bright red is da hottest, (especially when trimmed with black like IROC's are) but since you already have some black it might make sense just to paint it all that color.

I'd say triple-gloss black or yellow! I love black cars and I love yellow ones because not very many people have them and they look hot out in the sun!!! lol Plus they are attention getters when you drive through town

how about something like this but in your colors? it would cost the same, very easy to paint and would get you alot of attention. would also keep you out of that "stock" older two-tone look they had.

I'd keep it silver, but a better than factory silver.
If ya really want to change it, think hard about black as it gets dirty way to easy. I will never own another black car.....

Purple Haze....

For some reason, these cars look 100% better to me in dark colors.

My car is teal, but I'd damn near kill for a deep purple paint job.

Too much money though; my paint's in really good original shape for a Van Nuys job, and I can't make an excuse to spend that much.

I saw a yellow third gen around here before, it wasnt a pretty sight. Actually i almost crashed my drivers ed car trying to get a look at it just because i was in disbelief. I'm voting for silver, dark colours like black look okay, not a fan of red because for some reason i never bought into the red sports car thing no idea why, and again silver because it looks way too damn good....dont believe me? There ya go

my car is already silver... well two toned but i guess i could just repaint it sliver. i think black and red would look good together. i would like to see it photoshopped befor i do it though. it seems like everyone and their brother wants a silver third gen right now. i dont want to be the same as everyone else. i hate seeing a car that looks just like mine somewhere.

I know a bunch of people on here have them but i can honestly say ive never seen one in real life. Then again the main colour of most third gens around here is rust so my car is a rareity in more then one way

IMO...black with red ground effects would look like poo. I've seen a picture of one on IROC Daves website (it's not posted on there anymore) and I hated it. Yes, I agree that it sounds nice...but if you happen to get a picture...I don't think you'll like it. I think they it would look cheap and fake. It's ok to have like a black car with red interior (opinion)...but when you start puting red body parts on a black car....I just dont like it.....then again..it's just my opinion...good luck your your decision bro.

i think the colour combo would look better reversed with the car being red and the trim being black

I think if the ground effects color is way off from the body color, like red and black, it looks like you just put on the gfx and haven't had them painted yet. Unless you use a neutral color, like silver or beige. That's just my opinion though, do what you want.

May I suggest polo green metallic???

good point guys. i want something that wont be too expensive and yet look decent. i would also like something different. i love black third gens but from what i understand they are a pain in the butt to keep looking good. i have a few dents and chips in my paint now and i like my colour because i have never seen another third gen with the same combo that is still drivable (sp?). i wouldnt be in complete oposition to just a reapint. how much does a good paint job cost? i only need it to last 3-5 years and then i can repaint it again and get a more expensive paint job. i dont want to get a crappy job though i would like my weatherstipping to be black and not the body color haha. well does anyone know a decent place to get it painted that is about 1,500 bucks?

for 1500 bucks you should be able to get a fairly descent paint job done on the car. I still reccomend a slightly different colour of silver if you redo it but the best i can sugest is ask some of the car guys around in your area where a good place to get it done is. Then go to the place and talk to them about everything, cost, colour options, and just figure it out for your self, i dont really want your car the same colour as mine so go with black
