Trying to find a perfect hood for my maro.
I am looking for the perfect hood for my camaro.....I am not rlly sure as to what I want. I am partial to the 2.5'' cowl or even the 3'' cowl. I have looked at the cervini and harwood models and Perfer the harwood. I dont really know what all is out there, any suggestions would be great as I am really looking into a hood.
Also, I have seen the Jap hood and I dont really care for it much......

a picture of your car would help. it would also help to know what's under the hood. wouldn't want to tell you to get some monster cowl to hide a 170 horse power TBI. as far as cervini vs. harwood. you don't even have to think about that one. cervini's quality is possibly the most outstanding out of any fiberglass hood you can get. harwood on the other hand, will be a nightmare fitting it to your car.

I like the SS hood, but you also have the big block hood, cowl,I have an IROC and i like the hood that it came with looks vented but its just decorative. Just get what ever you think looks good,

not ALL harwoods fit like crap. my dad has a 4" on his and it bolted right on and closed. if you want the best looking hood, i would go with one of the harwoods. i don't see why people don't want to take 45min-hour extra time to get the baddest *** hood for these cars to fit. they just look right, ya know? i mean, you spend countless hours on other exterior mods, why not a couple of mins to get the hood to fit right. harwood gets an A++ from my neck of the woods, and i will put their 3" on my car.

i love cowl induction hoods. i think they look awsome. i personally like the glasstech hood. i really hate the hood i have. do not buy the one from unlimited industries/products(www.up22.com). i was extremely disipointed in the quality of the hood. spend the money and get a good one.

Any pix of that Glasstech hood? Also, as of now I have the 2.8v6, but I am gunna throw an LS1 in this one, or buy this Iroc w/ the 5.7 in it. Haven't decided which one yet
. Either way, this thing is going to have ***** sooner or later. I dont have a digi cam but I am going to paint my car black (it's that redish-maroon color now).
I have heard tonz of great things about the cervini, but I like the harwood "crease" I guess you could call it? The little rise in the middle, just looks right to me. but after everything I have heard about the harwood ones, I doubt i'll pick one of those up.

those glassteck hoods seem to fit nice and all but i really hate how the cowl starts sooo far back on the hood. there is like a good 10" between the start of the hood and the start of the cowl. that's what i like about the harwood so much is that the cowl starts at the start of the hood.

i left that packaging lip on my camaro and just sanded down the nose about 1/4inch where the lip would pass through it. Figured it would make the hood much more stable in the front at speed. Not sure if it will have any effect on it. Any thoughts?

upon further thought I think I am going to make my 3rd gen look like a 4th gen SS. SO the SS hodd would be the obvious choice. I have looked at them but I cannot find where it states if it's fiberglass or steel. Anyone know? I am looking at the one from hawk's....
