Pics and ideas of Custom Airbrushing?

I was THINKING about getting some done since I'm getting my car painted soon. A couple years ago, I saw a guy with a 74 T/A that had the Firebird on the hood airbrused on and guys I'm talking with extreme detail detail detail. It looked so good and originally, I was gonna have one done on mine but not sure how it would look with a 3 or 4 inch cowl hood that I'm gonna be running. Although with the cowl at 4 inches, I was thinking abut having "383" on one side and "Stroker" on the other side of the cowl. I was also throwing around the idea of having the Bird that was originally a decal between the side window and rear glass air brushed on. Also, I have those funky side moldings on my car (see sig) that some people like, and some people hate, and I was thinking about having "383" and "Stroker" done on those in a really cool font. Anyone had any of this done, and how much did ya have to fork out for it?

forget the idea with the side moldings, sounds tacky as hell IMHO, but i love the idea of the bird on the hood and 383 on the cowl

i think the 383 on the cowl will look good, but I wouldnt do it, would want to keep the motor a surprise, let them think they got beat by a 305
lol

I like the bird idea...

For some reason, I don't like the idea of having the engine combonation written on the outside of the car......or even the inside......

Maybe I'll have 3.1L brushed on the hood to really get the sleeper effect and throw them off, lol. Nah, my car doesn't need to sleep that bad.

Is that a car parked behind your car making it look like you've got a half cowl scoop?? Or is that your 4" cowl??

what about "6.2 litre" remeniscent of 2nd gens...

BTW - how do you think you're going to get the sleper effect with a 4" cowl hood?

Good points, lol. Anyway, yeah, that is a car behind mine and not some kinda freaky cowl.

I think I'ld go for some T/A 6.5 or 6.5 litre lettering kind of like the T/A 6.6 (400ci Pontiac) and 6.6 litre (403ci Olds) 2nd gen T/A stickers rather than 383 stroker lettering.

How many litres is a 383? I know a 400 is a 6.6 and the '64 and '65 GTO's alway have 6.5 litre emblems on the fenders and they came with 389s in them, so would that make a 383 a 6.4 or a 6.5?

EDIT: I found a chart it looks like a 383 would be about 6.2 or 6.3 liters.

I'm considering getting "Stroked 'N' Blown" airbrushed in script down the sides of my RAII hood for my turbo'd 383. Nothing too sleeper about my car. 'Course, I'm going to have to get off my *** and install the damn turbo prior to that...
