Dear fellow board members,

Ok moderators, this is thirdgen related I just had and still don’t have any idea exactly where this should go. Since the topic is mostly going to be done to the appearance to my car I put it here. If there is a problem please fix it.



Alright I’m still in high school as most of you guys already know. Well people are starting to get jealous of my car and are making threats to key my car and all kind of stuff. They are threatening to take my stereo and all kinds of shizzle.

Well I am wondering what I can do to try to stop someone from getting into my car to steal stuff. I was sort thinking shaved door handles. Not to be racist but this is just how it is(I’m white too) These are white people we are talking about and we all know white thieves never like to break windows, they like to do it the easy way by picking locks and what not. So will a shaved door handle kit stop them from being able to pick the locks?

Next how can I stop them from being able to slit my tires, someone said they might try that since they did it to a teachers car earlier this year. I mean if they key my car (which I cant stop them from doing with some kind of security) I can still drive home, if they brake into it most likely I’ll be able to drive home, but if they slit my tires, I cant go nowhere and my AAA will give me a ride but I’ll be $548 in debt cause I’ll have to borrow it form my mom.

Now I might seem like a wuse but I’m popular ok, I’m very popular, but so popular that a lot of people don’t like me at all. So this is what they have just recently been saying they'll do. I have a lot of people that would watch my back (my car) but yaw know better safe then sorry. I don’t know what to-do because I’ve just recently paid off my debt of $1200 off to my mom for my car getting painted, brakes getting redone, and other smaller things that had to be done.

I’ll appreciate any advice I can get,

thats pretty gay of them threatening to steal some of your shizzle. i guess shaving the door handles would make it harder for them to break in. well since you guys are in hs they are probably just talkin crap. maybe just park your car close to the school or in the very front of the parking lot so its visible. hope nothing happens.

 

well ya know unless i was driving a teacher to school i cant get within a quarter mile of the school. Student parking is soo far away they could do what ever they want to my car and get away with it.

People threaten to jumop me all the time, but i know they are joking well because, only the white people at my school dont like me, everyone else does. My school is outnumbered 1/12, that means 1 white person for every 12 people.

 

Ok I can sympathize with you because I bought my gta brand new in 1989 when I was only 18 years old . The biggest problem I had then was that everyone and I mean everyone could not deal with the fact that I was a young kid with a badass car .I dealt with scratches door dings dents and even spray paint . I lived in a crappy neiborhood and it seemed like everyone was out to get my gta . . So one night a bunch of my buddys and I decided to pull an all nighter and we hid around the car in bushes under trucks etc.. At around 4:30 a black truck pulled up and I could hear the rattle of a spray paint can So I gave the signal and we all came out of hiding and grabbed that sob and the guy driving the truck ..We duct taped there mouths and eyes shut and we drove off to a secluded area and we started talking **** like Whos gonna pull the trigger what will we do with the bodies what will we say when the cops come We laid it on super thick till one of these *******s(you know who you are ) pissed there pants When we had enough we said that we would throw them into the bottom of the dam so we found a spot where they could hear running water and we held them over the side (so they thought) they were actually about 3 feet from the water So I said say goodbye and start praying and they both cried like 2 year olds .Then we let them fall in ..Man oh man they were scared ****less and we started laughing our asses off and said next time mother*uckers it wont be fake ..And My car never got messed with again I mean sometimes you have to abuse the abuser to get results and this worked for me ..We still to this day laugh our asses off when it comes up at a party.........

 

he only way to PREVENT crime is to make the punishment worse then the crime........this is the same way the Police & government works......

They say they will steal your stereo, you say you will steal their car....

They say they will slit your tires, you say you will firebomb their car...

They say they will destroy your car, you say you will destroy their car, their mom's car, their dad's car, and their 3rd cousins car...

They say they will give you a black eye, you tell them you will have them paralyzed from the neck down for the rest of their life.....

Unfortunatly, I have no door handles, alarm, lug nut locks, etc, etc.....They still got my car......

You can minimize the risk of a crime happening, but there will always be a risk, you just have to live with it and deal with it as it happens......

I once had someone say they were planning to steal the Jaguar hood emblem off my old XJ6, I walked right up to them, grabbed their shirt and told them to try it, I would steal their whole car and leave their hood emblem sitting in the driveway......Needless to say it was still on the car for the rest of the year after school.......

 

It doesn't really matter what you do. If someone wants to steal your car/ruin it enough, they will do it. If you shave the handles, they will break the windows. Theres a million things they can do and you can't stop them.

If you want to stop them from breaking in to steal stuff, the most you can do is not keep anything in your car. Then they won't have anything to steal. They can still break your windows, scratch your paint, slash your tires, etc. though if they want to.

I doubt they are doing this out of pure jealousy. If you said or did something to upset them, I suggest you apologize. If you really did nothing, I'd get the authorities involved.

 

well here the thing. I'm popular, very popular. Prolly more like i'm very well known. Everyone whos anybody at my school, when they hear my name they know who they are talking about. Some people like me some people dont. Its how life is. i'm not a bad kid at all. I dont really even talk to these people ever. I have no idea whats their problem.

The only thing is keying my car is a lot easier than beating my butt. So their gonna take it out on my car so they cant get in trouble.

I'm just afraid how much people hating me is gonna cost. It might eventually be chjeaper for the extra $100, a month above my already $190, for full coverage. Which sucks. I dont know what todo.

 

If you have the money get bulletproof windows......like to see some poor bastard try to punch one of those out......

 

Come to think of it, i could get laminated windows and they make windows even hard to break with batts. I've read about GM trying these on cars and the windshield flys off the front of the car, doens't break, and they are really hard to break with weapons even. only reason GM didn't apply these to cars yet is becuase its too expensive for them to add to cars and still be affordable.

 

Only way to deal with these sort of people is to make them fear you more than you are afraid of them, well not necessarily them but what they could do to you or your car. I agree with FlyinLow and Qiker. Do what you have to, to protect whats yours. I would go all out if I had too. It's just like catching a burglar in your home, what would you do? I know what I would do, find the closest thing to me that would break his/her skull and knock the f*cker out of commision. Hope everything ends up well for ya bud, I'm in highschool too and am one of the dudes in the "popular" crowd and for sure, I have enemies but it's how you deal with them, that makes them afraid of you.

 

Sometimes less popular kids don't like the popular kids, especially if they think they are hot ****.

Not me. I'm more popular of people hating me with teachers than with students...but there are a selected few. I've had teachers come after me too....odd

Soudns like you have a crappy student parking. I would get to school 25 mins early to get the first parking spot, so it was visible from half of my classes. I also had a smaller school (800 students) and they all knew how much work i put into mine. WHen people would write "seniors" on peoples windows, mine would be left alone. hehe. One kid said that he was going to mess with my car.........until i told him I was going to burn his house down, and drag his family onto the lawn for his grandmother to help the police identify the family by dental records...........he then got scared and said he was joking.

nah man i dont pick on anybody. i'm too tiny to pcik on anybody. I'm 5'11 and only weigh 117lbs.

See the thing is my school looks like something from jurrassic park, it actually used to be a Military training facility until it was given up. It looks like its a bomb shelter or something. it'll scare you the first time you see it. The thing is none of anybodys classes can see the student parking, its that secluded and that far away man.

I'm not some hot **** little kid, i just know a lot of people, and seem to be above everyone else. I'm weird that way, i might be the dorkiest kid you've ever met but once i get to shcool i'm a different person, completely changed, you'll never even know it was me if you didn't already meet me. I'm not agressive at all, i dont pick fights or anything.

yeah alot of my teachers hate me too. I just failed my first class in my whole life, English 3, even though my overall average was a D, i only passed th first half. There fore the teacher that thought she got rid of me forever, has me again in the same period. Shes hating life right now i can tell you that. My substitute for physics, man i really rag on substitues when they think that they are your mom and always saying, "that was very disrespectful," or "could you be any stupider," or "shane, shut f*ck up." Teachers actually say this stuff to me. So i rag on them very hard. as soon as they make themselves look stupid, or say something stupid, i emphasize on it and make them look so dumb the class cant stop laughing for 5 minutes.

I dont knwo why people hate me but they do. Most of everyone loves me though. I mean i walk down the ahll and its like, "whats up shane," or "what up my *****." Something like this.

The only other thing I could suggest to you would be to get one of you buddys cars with dark or tinted windows and park it close to your ta .And then aim the video camera at the car being sure that you get the entire car in the lens and hopefully you can catch the culprit ..Now you have proof ..............

 

you need friends with cars like at you school. If there is a group of 3-4 of you then you all stand each up for each other and if anyone **** around with your stuff they know theyve got the 4 of you and every one of the 4 of your friends to deal with.

Luckily my school has cameras everywhere so it would be virtually impossible for anyone to key my car and not get caught so no one does. Even if they did id just get the video record, get the to pay to have the damage fixed, and then find them and kick their ***.

UH no ..Not if the camera is in another car let's say about 30-40 feet away..Do not put the camera in the same car being vandalized...

 

Not to be an *** but the only thing you have to fear is fear itslef, if you said somthing to them that was wrong apalogize or take your *** whoppin and go on with your life, if those guys have a problem it's with you and not with the car. Try to solve it amongst yourselves first before anything gets damaged, sometimes cops wont be as concerned untill there is x ammount of propperty damage, remember there are probbably several cases just like that going around your city at the same time. If you didnt do anything to them confront them about it, scare them the way they are trying to scare you.... scare tactics is the game thier playing, play it back any way you can there are no rules. Thirdly if you have a video camera, set it up to record your car all night long (well light) if they try to mess with your shizzile you have it on tape, damages paid for, asswipes go to jail it's as simple as that. Finally if that dosnt work tell em you know about 300 ball busting bad @sses from thirdgen.org that will fix thier problem hahahahaha, just kidding : )

yeah guys, i think the video camera is a nice idea, but i'm gonna have to buy something special that lasts 7 whole hours wont i? I'm at school from 8-3. Also where could i put this thing in my car they wouldn't relaly be able to see it but it can see them? atleast make it very unnoticable.

man you'v got to be ****tin me, only $170 bucks for 3 cameras, Though as far as i know, vhs tapes only go for 6 hours, oh wait they go for 8 hours in some. Thats is the most awesome thing ever. i goto some cheap ole store, get a vcr and a $170 camera set. no fn way.

the thing is i just got a alarm put on it not too long ago(i worked at circuit city and i got it at store cost also, dont work there anymore). If i'm able top turn my Viper 350HV into a paging one then hook me up, but other then that i dont know what todo.

What it consists of, its basically a keychain fob that has a digital screen, displaying a car. It acts like an ordinary car alarm. However, when someone messes with your car, the screen shows you what part of the car is being messed with.

Its a cool thing, but for his situation, it really wont help IMO. Even if he did have it, and someone messed with his car, the people would probably be gone by the time he gets out to his car (from what he has described).

Bro, I had the same thing happen with my 96 RS that I had. Car was pimp lol. People would threaten to mess with it all the time. I eventually went to the cops and got them involved. Needless to say, nobody messed with me or the car again.

In my Junior year of High School, I took my car onto the outfiled of our school. I didn't do anything to it but non-the-less the team saw fit for them to slit my tires. I personally went to every players house at 2 in the morning and put a whole bottle of Deer **** into the cowl of each of their cars (Deer **** is available at any WalMart or Kmart in the sporting goods section). We also took olive oil and covered their whole car with it. They all came to school on the bus and smelt horrible! I told them that if they even looked at my car again, they would find their engine in pieces on their front seat.

They never touched my car again.

If you're worried about this happening in the school lot, take the damn bus.
