Just got the new Y2K C5s On... Check it Out

Title says it all fellas (and ladies), I just got finished putting the new wheels on yesterday afternoon.

They are straight off a 2000 Corvette 275/30/ZR18s in the back and 265/30/ZR17s in the front. 2.25" Spacers all the way around. The fronts were meant to be a little narrower but I found the front tires for dirt cheap because the front tires that came with the wheels were shot.

Notice the back is down a little farther than the front, that is because the 75+ pound subwoofer box which is solid MDF housing two solobaric 12s. I plan to drop the front an inch to let it sit right, and then put a little bit stiffer suspension in the rear so I won't get any rub, right now I'm suffering from it a little bit.

I'm also looking for suggestions for 'best bang for your buck' tires once I get through this set, considering the tires were worn when I put them on.

I promise to have MUCH better quality pics soon, these are to just show them off until then.

Enjoy! :lala: :lala:

I'm something of a purist, not a stock-fiend, but a purist. Yet I'm not going to even waste time re-treading the tired comment about misplaced wheels.

Simply put, they look friggin' awesome! You should be proud.

The best tires for the money I've found are Kuhmo 712's. I had Les Schwab tire centers order the Kuhmos for me because their price was about $15 a tire cheaper than anywhere on the Internet.

A lot of people on the fl-thirdgen site were saying that Kumho's are the best bang for your buck. I checked it out on TireRack, I had no idea they were that cheap. Seriously the price for all four tires was how much I planned on spending on just the rear tires.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

my buddy has the best kumho tires for street on his 98 Z28. I cant think of the name right now. He had nitto 555s and he could really get too much traction. He then got the kumhos and he can now power brake it up to 1k and launch without too much spin. They are great and not too much $$ either.

And by the way, the wheels look GREAT. I love them on camaros.
